The strawman fallacy about the church?

The whole end-time structure, ethos and tenets of Premil to do not add up. That is why they have no consistent hermeneutics. They must wing it according to the text in order to try to get Premil to fit.

Describe your hermeneutics for us?

Your verses here prove one thing. We have power over wickedness in high places. Does not help the Nations one bit. No Nation is totally 100% submitted to the power of the Holy Spirit, much less willing to use it.

The texts i presented and which you ducked around prove the binding of Satan 2000 years ago.

The appeal to authority fallacy?

You do not respond to my post with anything of substance. I have quoted many verses, and you have ignored them all. I do not fit into your opposition mold that you have set in your mind. I do not even know what current prevailing pre-mill thought is. Eschatology is a smorgasbord and no two people eat the same way, and there is not enough sampling in this section of the forum. Most people just regurgitate the same points any ways, because who wants to be wrong. Jumping ship into the ocean seems untenable.

You only based it on deceiving the nations. What is the point? Satan has deceived the church. How is that being bound?

Satan had power and influence over the nations before the cross. The Gentiles were deceived. The Gentiles were in darkness. But since the First Advent the devil has been bound, curtailed, and limited in his power and influence, and is unable to curtail the enlightening of the Gentiles as a whole.

It is just like a gang leader in prison. He has power and influence in his own world. He has the ability to kill, steal, destroy, rape and embezzle in prison. But the governor and officers control his life and limit his movement and freedom. He cannot do his own thing. Regardless of what that prisoner thinks, he has no real power or authority. He is actually under authority. His life is regulated by rules and regulations that he does not agree with or appreciate. That does not diminish his restrained status.

It is the same with a controlling mother-in-law. What if she moved into your house with you and she was constant and ongoing trouble? She could challenge your authority. She could try to cause division and strife. She could shout and yell. She could manipulate and intimate. She can make your life miserable. That does not negate your authority over her. Regardless of what she thinks, your mother in law has no power or authority over you or your family. If you were to set rules, you have the authority to implement and to even cast her out of the house if need-be. It frankly doesn't matter what she thinks.

So you embrace Satan's gang leadership style, yet reject the Lord's Day as being Holy unto God.

Is that what you want me to understand? You keep making excuses why there cannot be a Lord's Day. How has that worked out for all the Nations on earth who still martyr the church today? They have been the same since Nimrod. Nothing has changed. Only Satan literally being bound and rendered useless will God have His Lord's Day. This Day is physical and the Lord Christ is physically present on earth the whole 1000 years. Probably too boring for some amil? They make excuses for Satan's gang like activity that is a lot more exciting and dramatic.

Your post had one whole section on Satan's gang leader status. How is that a false charge, when it is your own opinion?

Christ and the Church reigns over the kingdom of darkness today. Soon it will be finally and eternally destroyed when Jesus comes. You usher Satan into your millennial bliss and have him deceiving billions of your millennial inhabitants. Talk about a mega bust.

Christ has empowered the Church to invade Satan's territory and see him defeated everywhere the light of the Gospel is received throughout the nations.

With the coming of Christ to this earth came the introduction of His spiritual kingdom. With the introduction of His spiritual kingdom came a direct challenge to the power and influence of Satan on planet earth. With the direct challenge to the power and influence of Satan on planet earth came the spiritual empowerment of the people of God to confront and overcome Satan and his demonic angels.

Wherever the Church advances, the work of Satan is curtailed!!!

Christ said, to the disciples in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

When you are tuned into heaven, when you are connected to heaven, all things are possible. God is big and the devil is small. The light is shining and the darkness is dispelled. Peace prevails and the power ensues.

Jesus said in Matthew 16:18-19: “I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys (or authority) of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

God has entrusted power and authority to the Church in this age that the devil cannot in any way deal with or thwart. As Christians the highest authority existing on this earth has been delegated to us. Jesus Christ has commissioned us to enforce His will on this corrupt planet. He has filled us with His power. He has anointed us with His authority. We possess divine authority. That is why we come in His name.

Darkness cannot handle the light. When light shines, darkness must go. As the Church of Jesus Christ spreads the good news (or light of the Gospel) throughout the world the devil is exposed for who he is: he is stupid, he is a fool, he is a loser.

We have power over Satan since the cross! If you are walking in obedience, the devil has no authority over you. But you have much power over him. Think about this we have power over Satan and all his demons! He cannot do as he pleases against the people of God. There is much Scripture that says we have power over him.

Sorry but the spiritual kingdom and battle has raged since the Flood. It has not let up and has nothing to do with the church. This is some made up mythology.

Which is it: Satan and angels are bound? The physical church physically confronts Satan and his angels? Don't say it is spiritual to change the subject. We are physical and operate with the physical. We are not part of the spiritual battle going on above us. We could be if we give up our physical desires and spend our lives on our knees 14 hours a day. Sending a thought a couple of seconds each day is not being in the struggle.

I work in a pretty well ethical balanced manufacturing plant. The spirit of wickedness is overwhelming at times. Show me any public place or private establishement where carrying on a worship service in a public manner would not be turned into the police as a public nuisance. And that is in America. Sorry but from what I see, God's presence has left because the church has traded God's Word for human theology.

Still curious why you present such a glorious church thriving on man made human theology, yet you claim God is not capable or willing to have 1000 years set apart unto God as Holy.

I don't believe you get the meaning of Rev 20 and consequentlly impose a meaning that is unsupported by any other Scripture. This is proof that your doctrine is not biblical. What you miss is: Satan has been totally defeated through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. We don’t have to defeat the enemy, Jesus has already done that. All we need to do is use our God given authority and enforce that victory wherever we go.

Matthew 12:22-29, Mark 3:11, 23-27, Luke 10:18-19, Luke 11:20-22, John 12:31-33 Colossians 2:13-15, Hebrews 2:14-15, I John 3:8, Revelation 9:1-11, Revelation 12:7-9 and Revelation 20:2 prove Satan was cast out, bound, defeated, incapacitated, divested of power, disarmed, brought to naught, undone, stripped and spiritually imprisoned through Christ's sinless life, atoning death and triumphant resurrection. Colossians 2:15 tells us: “having spoiled (or divested or disarmed) principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Satan has not been rendered immobile or inoperative but is limited in his power, kingship and influence by being defeated on the cross. He is like a dog on a chain. He is shackled.

The Scriptures often depict the Gentiles in the Old Testament as deceived, without hope, blinded, ignorant and darkened. The Bible repeatedly describes the Gentiles in the New Testament as enlightened. That does not suggest that all were blind in the Old Testament or that all will be enlightened in the New Testament. These are simply sweeping generalities establishing the Gospel climate in either era. The widespread light didn’t shine on the nations throughout the Old Testament. Today, it does exist as the Gospel is preached throughout the nations. Before the cross, the Gospel was largely withheld from the nations. After the cross, the Gospel spread like wildfire throughout the globe. Like Israel in the Old Testament, the Gentiles in the New Testament have now had the light shone on them through the great commission.

The Gospel embracing the Gentiles was a revelation made before there was even an Israel, the 12 tribes or before there was a Jew. This was a revelation given to Abraham in the book of Genesis.

It has always been God's plan that His glory would be seen throughout the whole earth. Time after time in the Old Testament the ancient seers foresaw it, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. When God spoke about the nations it was always in regard to salvation and global influence not mere real estate in the Middle East. The Old Testament prophets prophesied for centuries about the new covenant period: that the Gentiles would be enlightenment through receiving the truth.

Sounds like you are preaching two gospel peoples and dispensations. Thanks for pointing out HOW I DO NOT INTERPRET Revelation 20.

How can you deduct that from what I said? This seems like another distraction. Please address what I wrote and the clear Scripture attached.

You pointed out that the gospel worked differently between the OT and NT, the two gospel people. Satan has been the same towards the nations since the Flood. Nothing has changed in that regards. The only difference now, as you said, "The Holy Spirit now gives us the power to take the Gospel to the whole world".

It's not two gospels, though. It's regarding the difference between how far the gospel spread in OT times compared to NT times.

What amils believe is what Satan is bound from doing: deceiving the nations in the sense of keeping them from hearing (or reading) the gospel. He can't stop the Holy Spirit of God from spreading the gospel through the preaching of Christians throughout the world. In OT times they did not have God's word in the world apart from Israel. That changed after Christ came and after the Holy Spirit came to dwell in people's hearts starting on the day of Pentecost long ago.

Because you have no answer to Amil on each thread, all you can do is misrepresent the Amil position. This does not enhance your doctrine but rather exposes it for what it is - extra-biblical. All Amils believe in one people of God and one Gospel.

The Old Testament Scriptures predicted the Messiah from the Garden! The LORD said in Genesis 3:15: “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” The bruising of Satan’s head by Christ broke the power of sin over the penitent sinner. Jesus made a way of escape for us. He didn’t leave Adam and Eve – our first parents – naked, hopeless and condemned. No! But by a gracious act of mercy He created a way of escape.

Genesis 3:21 reveals, “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.” The Lord removed their old tattered garments and gave them a divine covering. Here is the first blood sacrifice. Significantly it was made by Almighty God. This renewed them and brought them back into communion with God. They were new creatures. The animal skins did not just cover their physical bodies but also represented the sacrifice of the innocent animal’s blood as a means of covering sin. We know that their progeny were familiar with this procedure of animal blood sacrifice (Genesis 4:4-5), for we see it also in the story of righteous Abel.

Noah later followed suit (Genesis 8:20-21). God commanded Abram to prepare animals to sacrifice. He then performed the sacrifice, cutting the animals into two pieces (Genesis 15:9-10). A sacrifice system was formally instituted under Moses that involved official offices, detailed furniture, elaborate procedures, and particular animals (the book of Leviticus). All these sacrifices pointed to the coming Lamb of God. This bloody scarlet thread ran throughout the Old Testament and ends up at the cross of Christ.

Paul, in Galatians 3:8-9, shows that Abraham was saved through the same inspired Gospel as we are today. It was the good news of salvation, by grace, through faith in Christ. It says: “the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.”

The same glorious Gospel runs from the Old to the New Testament. It involves one ongoing progressive harmonious revelation of the person and work of Christ. He is man’s only redeemer. He is man’s only hope. Notwithstanding, the Old Testament saints were looking at our Savior from a more obscure perspective, and their revelation of Him was more veiled than that of the new covenant saints. However, they embraced the same overriding life-changing message.

The old covenant saints were looking forward with anticipation to Christ’s earthly assignment on man’s behalf, while the new covenant Christian is looking back to His victorious earthly ministry. Salvation came in both testaments through the enlightening power of the Gospel. We see in this passage that it the glad tiding of good news that we enjoy today was proclaimed to Abraham and he embraced it by faith.

Adam Clarke expounds this passage: “As God intended to justify the heathen through faith, he preached the Gospel that contains the grand display of the doctrine of salvation by faith, before, to Abraham, while he was in his heathen state; and thus he is called the father of believers: therefore it must refer to them who shall believe the same Gospel among the Gentiles; and, as the door of faith was open to all the Gentiles, consequently the promise was fulfilled: In thee shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.”

Repeated Scripture shows the continuity between the old covenant Gospel message and the new covenant Gospel message. It also shows the harmony between the people of God in the Old Testament and the people of God in the New Testament.

1 Peter 4:4-6, “they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Previous generations have heard the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ. Those that had eye to see embraced Him, those that were blind rejected Him. There is one Gospel that has gradually developed through clearer revelation. All the truth we find in the New Testament can normally be found in the Old Testament, albeit sometimes veiled. This not does in any way suggest 2 Gospels. There is only one Gospel, one faith, one overall covenant of grace, one election and one salvation.

Hebrews 3:17-19 4:1-2: with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”

The writer to the Hebrews is here showing us that the Gospel was indeed preached onto natural Israel in the Old Testament. This is the same Gospel that we have today. This Gospel produced the same fruit then, in those that got it, as it does in us today. Those who rejected that liberating message back then faced the same awful consequences as those who do the same today. The Gospel in essentially the good news of Jesus Christ. He is man’s only Savior. He is man’s only hope. The Old Testament saints looked forward by faith to His appearing. We today look back and rejoice in His appearing 2000 years ago.

The Old Testament sets forth a Gospel theme consistent with the New Testament that men were saved from sin by grace through saving faith in the Lord and His promises.

The Gospel message was a prophetic message predicting the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. Christ was the central focus of the Old Testament. His life, death and resurrection are man’s only hope – past, present and future.

And none of this has to do with the Lord's Day at all. It has nothing to do with the next Millennium, but you are just looking back over history. Why are you forcing your Amil view into the Lord's Day?

It's not two gospels, though. It's regarding the difference between how far the gospel spread in OT times compared to NT times.

What amils believe is what Satan is bound from doing: deceiving the nations in the sense of keeping them from hearing (or reading) the gospel. He can't stop the Holy Spirit of God from spreading the gospel through the preaching of Christians throughout the world. In OT times they did not have God's word in the world apart from Israel. That changed after Christ came and after the Holy Spirit came to dwell in people's hearts starting on the day of Pentecost long ago.
I know you believe Satan is bound. Not any less than in all of history. You reject the wording of Revelation 20, and put your own man made spin on the message.

That all depends on what someone believes Satan is bound from doing. In my view he is definitely bound from doing what he was able to do in OT times.

You reject the wording of Revelation 20, and put your own man made spin on the message.
No, I reject your interpretation of Revelation 20.

The Lord, day is Sunday. The day of the Lord is the last day when all the elect are rescued and all the wicked are destroyed. There is no future millennium. That is a Premil invention.
