You a flat earther too?

How did you know?
What gave it away?
Were my for corners showing?

Isa. 11:12
And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Rev. 7:1
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Why would I use statistics to tell me about individuals?

Because if you are not using individual's as a basis of analysis you really have no idea who as an individual is really facing discrimination.

Of course you have no data to back that up (I assume because you didn't cite anything), but more to the point: on average how many black people go to private schools as a proportion of their presence in the overall population?

9% of Blacks attend private school. The Condition of Education - Preprimary, Elementary, and Secondary Education - Elementary and Secondary Enrollment - Private School Enrollment - Indicator May (2020) They are underrepresented, but then so are poor white children. The subset of blacks that are privileged is large enough to create enough variance that most would not be outliers in any normal distribution. "For instance, if certain data follow a normal distribution, approximately 68%, 95%, and 99.7% of the data are within 1, 2, and 3 standard deviations of the mean, respectively; thus, the observations beyond two or three SD above and below the mean of the observations may be considered as outliers in the data." http://d-scholarship.pitt.edu/7948/1/Seo.pdf

Let me put in a situation you may be more familiar with: let's talk about a gas. If I have a balloon filled with a gas each molecule of the gas is moving at some rate of speed. NOT ALL GAS MOLECULES ARE MOVING AT THE SAME SPEED. They are moving at a variety of speeds. But I don't look at each individual molecule to understand how the gas is behaving. That would be madness.

If you were trying to achieve equality of the molecules you would certainly want to look at each individual molecule.

Sounds like you work too much in the hard sciences and not enough with social science. Wonder what the R2 would be for white privilege? For the nation as a whole, maybe you might reach .3 if you could even measure it in some objective manner. I would imagine the control variables for any type of privilege in the U.S. would be far more related. Such as income, geographical region etc. The discussion is pretty useless at this point because the dependent variable has not even been defined. I admit that I am no scholar on this subject but I am able to raise serious concerns about its measurement and policy implications. I would be happy to try to correct a privilege imbalance. I know for a fact there is discrimination as a whole, but my point is that it is uneven and I am not sure how that it could best be addressed. Other than some suggesting reparations I am not sure what the black community is asking for. So far it seems most are just running this on emotions and not being practical. I say this because we protest one horrific killing, while most remain silent on the hundreds of prisoners that have died from COVID in prison. Yet, few are asking for prison reforms.

Good for you! I'm a racist. I'm the product of a racist society and I have been given advantages based solely on my skin color. I find myself still, to this day, working every day to account for my biases. I probably won't ever be a perfect person in this respect. I wish it were otherwise. But my life has been one of growing and learning. I aspire to this but I'm sure I fall far, far short of the goal.

Maybe you could move to Laredo, TX so that you could rid yourself of white privilege on the local level?

Anecdotal data is useless on large social topics.

You should read more widely.

Anecdotal data. You really should learn what statistics are for.

You chose where you were born and raised???? Wow.

Wow only a $10,000 difference in income between 1959-2018? And you believe those numbers? That’s extremely surprising since the minimum wage in 1959 was $1 and were now up to anywhere from $7-$14. So your statistics can’t be right.

They’re adjusted for inflation. The difference between the given demographics stands.

Maybe the reason the average black household has the lowest average income is because statistics show that they also have the lowest numbers of college graduates. I mean that would make sense right?

College completion rates vary by race and ethnicity, report finds

Have you got a link to where it says that please, I just had a look at the BLM site and couldn’t see anything along those lines.
It is the black lives matter web site, what we believe and some at down, four paragraphs from the end, " we disrupt the western nuclear family, supporting each other in extended families.

Look also at wintery knight and for the post, Black UC Berkeley professor write essay on BLM.
Apart from the article there is a link to the full essay.

As Gaara noted, adjusted for inflation, but also the difference in the median income so it's not like you are seeing the extremes here.

But the key take-away is that clearly something is wrong here when one can utilize race as an explanatory variable to describe the difference in income.

You know, it's hard to take people seriously when they selectively cut off half of a sentence to make a statement seem more sinister than it is. Here's that full sentence - the bold part is what you cut off. Take special note of the last bit:
We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.

Yes I cut the quote, guilty there, but even with the whole quote the meaning is the same.
They do not want husband He. Wife to bring up there children in a family.

Not when there’s equal rights and anti discrimination laws in place. Thousands of black students go to college everyday. They weren’t forbidden to attend because they were black. Your basing your statement on assumptions. Your expectation that the statistics should be more diverse is purely speculative.

No, that's not what it's saying at all. It's saying that our society requires a traditional nuclear family (in the sense that it's extremely difficult for a single parent to get by due to the cost of childcare and necessity of having a full-time job). By offering a community-based childcare system, it makes it possible for those who are comfortable with it to have their children taken care of and work at the same time.

The reality is that African-Americans have a higher percentage of single-parent households. There are multiple causes for this, but the important thing to remember is that many of those causes are self-perpetuating. Simply saying that black women should get married isn't a solution. There has to be an interim measure to offer structure and a safe environment for their children first so that they can get away from the influences that drive them into crime and drugs. Without those negative influences, their children are more likely to end up in stable relationships.

Indeed it would. And have you looked into why that might be?

That's likely a contributing factor. And why do they have fewer college graduates?

Well seeing that there’s no reason why they would be forbidden to attend college I would think that in most cases they didn’t want to do what is necessary to accomplish the task. Surely they’re not all applying for colleges and being denied. There’s hundreds of colleges that will accept anyone who can pay the tuition.

You would think that seeing the effects of drugs and crime first hand would be a deterrence itself but instead it’s often glorified and those who don’t partake are typically ridiculed.
