  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do they? Tell me...who's "they"? And if it's true, why hasn't Jesus dropped that drop of blood on us? He could cure all of the sickness in the world, and hasn't done so? Nice guy...

Maybe he's waiting for you to believe in him. Just believe and we will all be healed! :p

Ugghh Oh!! my John radar is starting to beep. He will be here soon to give us all a sermon..something to the effect, that it (the blood) will heal those with faith who belief and have the annointing of somebody or another....He will then add, those who do not believe will not be healed and the Holy Spirit discerns between the just from the unjust yada, yada, yada, yada......Mark my words.... he will have a built in excuse why ALL are not healed. Personally, I think Jesus is not healing all so I have something to do...but hey, that is just me ;)

Well, a talented user of PhotoShop (or similar), anyway.
If your not happy with the way your photos come out, you can always take them into Adobe and fix them. It is just something I enjoy doing. I have been around computer from the beginning when a computer was the size of a room and a computer bug was a real moth. But I really got into photography when I was selling on Ebay and the better the photo the more they bid on it.

Some diseases are due to sin, some are not.
We can't claim they all are, or we'd be condemning lots of innocent people.

But gluttony, for example, causes obesity, which predisposes to arthritis, diabetes, breast cancer, heart disease, vascular disease, lung disease, gallstones, and there are more...
I did a liver flush over the weekend. yuck. Is there any medical backup to doing this sort of thing or am I wasting my tine drinking epsom salts and olive oil?

If it made you feel beter, its not a waste of time :)

But there's no real reason it should help...

I never imagined you as one of those type of people, Jet Black... everyone I know who does liver flushes is completely insane and female :p

well I have a medical problem the docs insist that they can do nothing about, so I am in try everything I can and see if it works mode. Despite being told I can do nothing about it, I am trying anyway. I am reminded of a Chinese Proverb:
"The One who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the one doing it"

Any idea what those little green things actually are?

If you want to run a vaccum cleaner, you have to plug it into the wall. If you want to drive your car, you have to fill it up with gasline. It is the same with God, you have to get pluged into Him. You have to allow Him to fill you with His power and His healing. When you enter into the presense of God, then some amazing things can happen.

They talk about spending 13 years in college. But I have spent over 20 years to study the Bible and what the Bible teachs about healing. You guys may not like Ernest Angley, but he is a pretty good teacher, when it comes to showing people how to receive what they are seeking after God for.

Check out his web site and see if there is not something there, where you can get some help. He helps lots of people to receive their healing, when the doctors have told them there is nothing medicine can do for them. I know Angley is sort of a funny guy, but who are we to tell God who He can and can not use? Somewhere along the way, we need to come to realize that God knows what He is doing, and His ways are not man's ways.

For the same reason that God threw Adam and Eve OUT of the Garden of Eden. So they would not eat the tree of life and live forever in the condition they were in. First people need to repent and turn away from their sin. So, you are either in or out with God, there is no fense sitting allows.

But to answer your question. Jesus is going to cure all the sickeness in the world, but the right time has not come yet. First God needs to make a serperation between the righteous and the unrighteous. The good news is, today is the day and now is the time for salvation. So the door is wide open, and the invitation is open for whosoever is willing: Let them come.

Just out of curiosity John:

What do you think the purpose of the tree of life was in the Garden of Eden? Like the tree of knowledge, did it give something to Adam and Eve that they were not created with in the first place?

Yes, but john...I really wish you would address the Biblical distinction between real life and biological life when you discuss theology. You talk theology as if to there isn't one.

One of the most *poisonous theologies* I have encountered is the view that person A is physically sicker than person B thanks to greater sin. *Please* don't make such assertions without seeking some more guidance from your pastors, etc.

Adam and Eve had a choice: The tree of life or the tree of death, sickness or health, blessing or curse. You have the same choice today. We know the decision they made, Eve because she was deceived, Adam, because he followed Eve in her sin. What is your choice? Life or death, blessing or curse?

Yeah....riiiiiight. Jesus will cure your sicknesses...you just have to become a born again christian. Oh, and never mind the fact that born again christians get sick at about the same rate non-christians do.

John, you aren't even making sense here.

Not really, God heals people sometimes in the hope that they will repent and turn away from their sin. God moves first and then He expects us to respond.

Now that's a nice photo. But seriously, I didn't comment on whether I liked the two young girls' photos because I thought one of them was your niece. I just thought they were a little cheesecakey for this forum. But don't stop posting them! ;)

And sometimes lets people who are his faithful servants, and could expect to be healed by the blood of jesus, die of sicknesses? You're still not making sense.

Nothing is wrong with them. I almost saved them! It just seemed like the wrong place for them. I mean, who doesn't spend hours a day at inmatesfavoritebabes.com? -Er- But I usually come here for boring old text-based discussions on science, creationism, & evolution.

Liver flush??? I have never heard of it. I have heard people say, 'drink a lot of water or cranberry juice to flush your kidneys', but the liver flush is a new one on me. I bet you became very thirsty following it though??

Einstein Jr. doing a "liver flush"??? NOW that is funny!! :D :p

I suppose I could tame it down a little bit. I sort of like the one I did of the two headed camel, but I can not remember what thread I posted that one in.

The girl on the left in this photo attends the same church I attend. The first time I photographed her was at a church picnic. The pastor was playing horseshoes and people were looking at us, wondering what we were doing. But when I started to put my photos up at the church, then there was no problems. People seem to like them and are all the time asking me for copies.
