I do some management for the company we own. I pay bills, give the accountant information to send out bills and make salaries, oversee some employers written works, counsel employers by mail or phone (sometimes we have also meetings and sometimes I mentor our empoyers in our client companies- two reasons I go out of home-office once or twice a week). At the present time I do also some works (juridical counsel, documentation) as a specialist for our clients, but my purpose is bring this to minimum.

I'm a SAHM, I quit working back in August of last year because I had problems with my managers. I found out I was pregnant in November and decided not to return to work. We're going to homeschool all of our kids, so I won't be going back to work, God willing, ever again. However, I do sell Mary Kay, but I don't see that as really being work.

We decided I would stay at home yrs before I ever became pregnant. And wouldn't you know it I was the only one working when we found out. But before the baby go there DH found a great job after we relocated and I have been at home ever since with a five. We also homeschool and though not easy I would not trade it.
I also started my own business last fall and all I have to do is throw the kids in the car to make deliveries. Very easy and I never really see my customers. I hope never to have to go to regular job again.

Being a SAHM means doing most every chore in the book. Does your DH ever help you with anything w/out being asked, or do you have to ask him?

My hubby does dishes, cooks, and changes the baby's diaper, usually without being asked. He will also take out the garbage if it's full. But he never vacuums or dusts, or cleans the bathroom! LOL!

My husband takes out the trash and is also in charge of cleaning it up if an animal gets in it outside, mowing the lawn, caring for the car, and home maintenance other than cleaning. He cooks on occasion, changes diapers if I'm unavailable, will clean if I am sick, and vacuum if I'm running around with my head cut off and look stressed. haha These are all things that I will let him know are needed if he doesn't already know, otherwise he does them without asking.

He does help out quite a bit, but he also works hard at his job and often has long days--in part because we live in a large city and his commute is long. Sometimes, especially on the weekdays, I don't have the heart to ask him for help.

On the weekends though, he is usually the first one to start getting things done around the house.

I am a SAHM of 3. I have two girls, one in school and one boy. They are fun, and I wouldn't trade it for a thing. We did just recently relocate due to my husbands job and we have no family or friends here right now. We are going to have to find some things to do or me and the kids will go crazy before the summer is up!! We did just get back from Sea World so that was a blast.

We will get to know people and get involved in a church once we find the right one. I wish I had a work at home, small job. I have heard a lot of people who do but I never can find out how they find it.

Do any SAHM's go to play groups with their children? or Mygym, or Gymboree, or the library groups? what and how often?

At present about 6 Mom's of young ones from my church are meeting at our homes once a week; but our church is organizing a MOPS group.

do any of you SAHM's have a regular baby sitter or nanny? or do you enlist the help of a family member to watch your children? how did you find that person and what did you look for?

The only person we have watch our kids is my MIL. We've known too many people who've experienced awful things at a sitter/daycare so we prefer to keep them supervised so experiments and/or curiousity doesn't occur.

my MIL used to watch my boys...but she has COPD. Lately she has been too ill to watch them.

I will be sending my boys to public school. Our school was rated #7 in NYS, so we're feeling pretty good about our decision. I don't feel equipped enough to home school.

Help! I'm a SAHM homeschooling mum who's never at home! Just at present my youngest dd is involved in an important concert. We are workshopping & rehearsing constantly on top of her regular music schedule. I am so exhausted but my child is thriving. I wish I could boost my energy levels. Anyone got any ideas on how to do that?
