I don't know if there is a thread for stay-at-home-moms. So, if this is a duplicate, I appologize. I'm a SAHM of 3 boys under age 5. They will all be going to public schools also. I do not want to homeschool. I used to work as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Sometimes I miss my work outside the home. I miss the people contact. However, I don't have any regrets about the choice I made to stay home with my children. I know some women do not get that choice. My DH has a good-paying job, so I have the option of working or not.
How about you? SAHM? Did you have a job prior to becoming a SAHM? Do you miss it? What are your plans, if any, when your children are all in school?
I, too, am a SAHM and love it. Before my husband and I married, we made the decision that I would stay at home once we had children. I worked at Subway for a long time before we moved to a different town. We had heard that it could take up to 6 months to get pregnant so we decided to start trying; however it didn't take that long for us!! Just two months later and I was pregnant while in the process of looking for work.
I loved working at Subway; I loved the work, loved the customers, and I loved being good at what I did. It seems silly since it was just Subway, but I have seriously pondered going back! LOL
I plan to homeschool, so I won't be going back to work, and although I once had made the decision to work when the girls (and maybe boys someday

) got older, I decided I wanted to be available for them first and foremost. So I've decided to stay home (at least at this point) for good to be available to my kids now, all through their teen years, early adulthood and also for when they have children of their own.
My husband and I started off rocky financially, but God has truly provided what we needed and blessed us with so much more. My husband is working at a great job that he enjoys with great pay; he also has a Christian boss (who wants a Christian environment at his at-home business), and works just 5 minutes from our home. We are finally feeling like his slave labor over at FedEx for the last 3 years is finally paying off

(no offense to FedEx, it was just our personal experience)!
I do miss my job, but I am able to volunteer at my church once a week for a couple of hours and I really do see the value in being at home and being available 24/7 to be the most ideal for my husband and children.
