  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nah - not really .

I had put out a 6ft tall nasty plastic unit with 2 small cupboards and a few ill fitting drawers when I did the wet room.

I wasn't paying £40 to the Council to collect it and it was too big to go into Freda so couldn't take it myself. Mr Hop-a-long said that when they had stuff for the tip from his business the van would collect my cupboard so it was parked in the garden , facing the wall and tight up against it.

This morning I had to pick it up and move it so we could open the gates for the Landy to go to work. One cupboard door had been wrenched off and the whole unit was very soggy. No other signs of damage to anything else ,but the cupboard could not have blown over and turned round 180degrees, twice to get to where it was.

Blasted local yobs/vandals

nope - there's nothing really done about that here - usually a display by Glasgow but it's not big. Some folk let fireworks off in their gardens - but the idea is really dying out - no kids [ well not many :) ] in the area.

We don't even get them coming round the doors for Halloween now - again lack of kids and possibly fears for safety

Cupboard now moved back to where it was - it's very light [ a truly horridly constructed thing - I'll be glad when it finally goes ] so I was able to move it using my wee trolley - it was a case of put it on the trolley by tipping it forward , then tilt trolley , turn it round and then put it hard against the wall again .

Job done:)

Scaffolding now going up on front of the Hop-a-long's house :)

That was painful.

No, excruciating.

Waffle content went through the roof.

I went there expecting information on what our input would be at a logisitcs end. All we got was policy gobbldiegook.

I had to ask a question at the end about it and I was told an email asking for people interested would be issued soon.

If they said that at the start I'd have not bothered going...:(
