  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Praying for you! The devil is the creator of lies and when he tells you something, believe the opposite, for the opposite is the truth! *hug*

Have had problems with mental health for years. Doing somewhat better lately, thanks be to God, but would appreciate prayers for continued improvement. Will review this thread later myself and pray for those on it. Thank you.

I'd be thankful for anyone that prays for me, maybe God will hear... I'm fighting depression and things aren't that good at "home" with my family... I need strength and courage to keep going.

I'll pray for you. Although God doesn't need me for Him to hear you and know your heart, He already hears you, but He wants us to care and pray for each other nonetheless.

Strength and courage are weird things, by the way. The more we have it, the less we feel like we have it. Strength isn't really strength unless we're fighting and struggling against something and courage isn't really courage unless we're afraid.

One day at a time. God bless.

My small group leader at church says that God only listens to the prayers of sinless people.... I don't agree with him....

In August of this year (5 months from now), I have to decide whether to enroll in seminary or enroll in a Marriage and Family Therapy counseling graduate school program.

Please pray that God will show me which path is best suited for me.

To be honest, I am afraid that I might drop out of graduate school completely, no matter which path I choose (seminary or the MFT counseling graduate school program).

I studied at a local evangelical seminary for 3 semesters (January 2013 to May 2014), but I was unhappy and lonely.... Maybe it wasn't the right time in my life to study in seminary?

None of us are sinless. If we think we are, we forget humility, we forget how to forgive and we forget Christ. When we forget Christ, our faith has no essence.

Said a prayer for you. I'm sure you will find your way eventually. Sometimes we even need to go on unwanted paths in order to learn something. No fear, one day at a time.

Please pray that God will allow me to move out of state as soon as possible in order to attend graduate school. I really need to get away from my very dysfunctional family.

I know FOR A FACT that Mom treats my younger brother and me differently.

    I AM THE EASY TARGET....

I AM THE FAMILY PUNCHING BAG.

I AM THE BLACK SHEEP OF THE FAMILY.

Danny has DAILY VIOLENT ANGER OUTBURSTS because of some STUPID SMARTPHONE GAME, but Mom says NOTHING NEGATIVE to Danny.

Danny drinks beer alone in his room, but MOM SAYS NOTHING NEGATIVE TO DANNY.

Danny does not lift a finger to help me with household chores like taking out the trashcans every Tuesday, but MOM SAYS NOTHING NEGATIVE TO DANNY.

I take Uber to go eat tacos and MOM SAYS THAT I AM IMMATURE.

Hey bro read back slowly over what you wrote and how you felt and then ponder on these words of Paul below and see where you could use that in your life best with regards to your complains. It did wonders for me when I began to realise where I made some fundamental mistakes dealing with the sins of others.

    Peace.

Praying He take good care of you as you learn to do this bro.:prayer:

    Colossians 3:1-17
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.:prayer::prayer::prayer:

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

I need prayer, as it seems much of life goes contrary to me. There were disasters and crises throughout life and now I am diagnosed with something I suffer from that has no cure, which people die from. There is enough that is discouraging from this, besides the tendency toward depression anyway.
