And of course you are free to point that out, and we shall discuss,...it seems like you can only see things from your point of view, and fail to consider the opinions of others, if an echo chamber is what you are seeking,....the internet is not a place for you mdm

The fall of man is just a human reinactment of the fall of the angels. The rebellion of Eve was a reenactment of the rebellion of Lucifer (cleverly done too I must say).

Please revisit post #655. I've added something interesting.

You added that sometimes the word but can be used. Thankfully we have the rest of the bible. Nowhere else do I see any such bizarre insertions. How about translators? They picked the word and for chapter two. If we for a minute forget your inserted plethora of dreams, the word and makes the most sense, and in fact nothing else could.
You claim Adam and Eve were just some reenactment? Jesus died for us, so it seems we are far more than that.

Who wants opinions?

If you don't then what are you doing here? And why do you choose to offer yours what you don't want others? If you insist on 'correcting' others that's offering your opinion,...or do you think that you're some kinda of modern day prophet? Preaching the newest testament?

Reenactment as in type. Adam and Eve were a type of God and Lucifer. The rebellion of Eve is a type of the rebellion of Lucifer. Unless this is understood not much else makes any sense. The "mystery of iniquity" is a type of the rebellion of Lucifer, and of Eve.

"And" (expressing the foregone conclusion) makes the most sense if you understand the narrative. Most should start with "but" and graduate to "and" as a natural progression of the story as a reenactment. God hides little tidbits of knowledge here and there. We as future kings have to search it out. Proverbs 25:2

That aside, your insertion would require lots of real bible support. You are going on a wing and a prayer here.

I'm satisfied that the bible supports an old earth created for the angels, that was destroyed by their rebellion.

Job 38:4-7, and, Jude 1:6 are very revealing.

Jude is about angels rebelling, nothing about doing so in the middle of verse two of creation!

As for Job, it talks of angels singing with joy watching creation.

Is just one insufficient?
Luke 11:8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

Unless you're an amputee, then it's always no. But yeah, other than that, yes, maybe.
Do you have a problem with God leaving some things as-is?

A scientific methodology can be used to investigate anything.

...with measureable/detectable manifestation in reality.

Otherwise, you have nothing to investigate.
This is why science doesn't care about the supernatural. Not because it "denies" or "ignores" it.
Rather, because it has not detectable manifestation in reality. In other words: it is indistinguishable from the non-existant.

There are no restrictions.

Except that there are. And that restriction is that you actually have to have something to study.

Water has unusual properties in scripture.

Water also has unusual properties in homeopathy.
In reality though, water is simply water.

That is well documented.

If by "well documented" you mean, "claimed in some book", sure....

There is no evidence that earth could come from water, that is could
spring from rocks, that is could be parted, that it's firm enough to
walk on....etc.

There isn't any evidence for anything in that story.

How is assumption being scientific?

lol, and the tapdance continues...................
Why is it so hard for you to answer this very simple question?

upload_2017-3-30_9-52-12.png

Which of these would you consider the most reasonable "assumption" and why:
1. a human walked there
2. a bipedal dog with shoes in the shape of human feet walked there
3. a supernatural ethereal demon put the tracks there to mislead us

That has already been dealt with, you can't set up an experiment where the results are replicable, your own testimony can't be peered reviewed,...that's not science,....that's wishful thinking...

Hilarious how wrong one can be right....

In his opinion, science can be used to study the supernatural, but at the same time, science can't reasonably conclude what happened just 10 seconds ago based on the evidence in the present.

I've asked him 5 times now what the most reasonable "assumption" (=conclusion) would be to explain human footprints on a beach: that a human walked there, that a bipedal dog with shoes shaped like human feet walked there, or that an ethereal demon put the footprints there to mislead us.

I still have no received an answer, only tapdances

Divorce rate is sky high, and many of them are religious
Worse then that even... divorce rates (as well as domestic violence, by the way) is actually HIGHER in religious households.

Water does not flow up hill at GC.

Eric Hovind is an idiot. I advise getting your science from actual scientists, not one year bible school campers.

I actually feel bad for Eric. Poor bloke never had a chance, with a dad like that.
