Check the rest of the known universe for plant life.
And don't try to tell me that is not exactly what
science is doing.

Shall I list the amount of money being spent on this?

Let's try this again:

Take any plant, say a houseplant. Think about what is required for that plant to be able to grow.

Now, devise a scientific experiment to determine if supernatural forces are required for that growth.

Prayer, works as often as flipping a coin....

"Complications of surgery occurred in 52 percent of those who received prayer (Group 1), 51 percent of those who did not receive it (Group 2), and 59 percent of patients who knew they would receive prayers (Group 3). There were no statistically significant differences in major complications or thirty-day mortality. In The God Delusion, evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins wrote, "It seems more probable that those patients who knew they were being prayed for suffered additional stress in consequence: performance anxiety', as the experimenters put it."

But it is 100% reliable if you follow the procedure.

I covered that. 100% if you follow my procedure.
You can't take others experiments on this one.
Just like you don't believe my claims.

If you did, that would not be scientific.
That would be faith in me.

I'm not asking you to have faith in me.

The issue is not God vs science. Its science can't be used to investigate God
Why should it?
Its man's efforts. And natural man is nstural man and can't be made spiritual through man's efforts

I see you didn't read it yet.
But, Yes...that was one of my answered prayers.

The sun came out, the rain stopped
it had been raining for 4 hours,
and a farmers field had been laid
flat and the ground was dry.

And I was "told" that my prayer had been answered.

Then, it was. I was only praying for a dry place to get
my wife out of the car due to her pain.

I wasn't asking for a dry flattened cornfield
and sunshine so she could get out and lay down.

Then..I was told my prayer was answered,
then the rain stopped and the field showed up.

Timing is the key. Not the farmer driving
his tractor in circles flatting his crop weeks
earlier. Why he'd do that, I don't know.

That does not confirm that your prayer caused this to happen. You're just describing weather, there's nothing unusual about that story. This just shows your confirmation bias.

Oh, you don't get to control the outcome or the request.
We can't give you the power of a God.
Yes, that is a shame people don't get that power.
You'd want that?

I disagree with that as well.

That has already been dealt with, you can't set up an experiment where the results are replicable, your own testimony can't be peered reviewed,...that's not science,....that's wishful thinking...

None of that is correct.
Do you want people to have control of God?
Would that be best for you?

This is why I proposed the plant experiment a few posts back. It's a very simple example that illustrates the boundaries of scientific inquiry when it comes to the supernatural.

It's in the link.

The point is to change your request to what God has planned for you.
And to change it, then answer it, so that you discover it was not you.
The whole point of prayer is to discover that God is there.
Power over the world is a strictly human idea.
As you've mentioned, that is a failure in experiments.

Thats not my question,.....you're dodging the issue here like some kung fu master,.......how can the scientific method be used on the question of the supernatural....and for the record, I don't care either way what people think of mythical entities,...so if they think they can control God,...by all means, knock themselves out.....Let's get back on track,....How is your method scientific?

Even your link doesn't really help me understand how you can guarantee 100% answered prayer.
And you still haven't told us how you can confirm that the prayer is the actual cause and nothing else.

No, your procedure is just a method of accepting your lot in life. Nothing has changed, you're just assuming that, whatever happens, it's for the best.

Here's a fabulous example of praying for something that would be beneficial to the individual 100% of the time (if the deity you believe in exists and demands belief for a positive afterlife): Praying for belief. I have prayed for belief since I was 13. That makes for almost 9 years of praying a minimum of once a week for belief, and no result. So, is the best thing for me going to hell?
