I've stood on the rim at 5,000 feet and realized there was absolutely no way a river would ever run over those rocks unless the river was over 10,000 feet deep. Therefore, the Colorado river did not carve the canyon.
Shirley, you can't be serious!

That's the way I read it, yes. Countless periods of ruin/restoration, Genesis One being the latest recorded, although there may have been a restoration after the flood as well. The wording of the "rainbow covenant" suggests that Noah's flood wasn't the only such event in history. In fact Gen 1:2 reads like the aftermath of a sizable flood event.
OK, I guess if you see all that in there, who can argue. But how about real support in the rest of the bible?? Notice there is nowhere that mentions this?

Did you forget that I have read the bible before? More than once, cover to cover. What deity do you think I am addressing? Vishnu? Hahaha no.

OK Christians, sounds like this gal could use our prayers.

Not to mention that God's answer to many if not most prayers is.....no.

It is never no. God answered your past and future prayers before the world was formed.
Your task is to get your request fixed and get with the program rather than fight it.

No, your procedure is just a method of accepting your lot in life. Nothing has changed, you're just assuming that, whatever happens, it's for the best. Here's a fabulous example of praying for something that would be beneficial to the individual 100% of the time (if the deity you believe in exists and demands belief for a positive afterlife): Praying for belief. I have prayed for belief since I was 13. That makes for almost 9 years of praying a minimum of once a week for belief, and no result. So, is the best thing for me going to hell?

The opposite of love is apathy. It sounds like in your consideration of God,
your condition is the opposite of apathy. I'm sorry to break it to you
but you are not apathetic about God. He knows that even if you refuse
to admit it.

Hell is reserved only for those who actively, with full knowledge, rebuke
God's Spirit. For example newborns don't go to Hell.

The bible story is the beginning of the "restitution of all things", things damaged long before GenOne. Here God fashions a new world for his new creation: man.

The Hebrew prefix/conjunction "and" is also translated "but". Apply this to verse two and all of history changes before our eyes. ;)

Unless you're an amputee, then it's always no. But yeah, other than that, yes, maybe.

The purpose of prayer is to get you with God's program, not change it from perfection.

Even your link doesn't really help me understand how you can guarantee 100% answered prayer.
And you still haven't told us how you can confirm that the prayer is the actual cause and nothing else.

Timing. You ask, God answers, then at that moment, He delivers.
Action, response, reaction.....it's all very scientific.

I'll give you another example. A true story.
A person called by God is sent on a mission.
In a blinding snowstorm he is stopped by the edge of a river.
He stands and waits for the next step, becasue he knows
God sent him on this quest.

Out of the blizzard a man arrives in a boat to pick him
up and help him cross the river.

The boat man relates that he was awoken in the middle of the
night and "told" he was needed at the river. Going to the river
he finds a row-boat used for helping people cross the water.

He heads out in the storm to find the person he is supposed to help.
He arrives on the opposite shore and finds the man on the mission.

All random chance in the middle of the night?

Good idea. That way, it always appears as if someone's in control.

Que sera,sera.

It appears that no person is in control. (Prayer doesn't work to change things)
Only the pray-er learns that someone is listening.
