But... everyone, I come holding my hat. I'm guility of this... And I'm sorry. Me, personally... I won't speak for anyone else. But I'm making my apology to all of you. I can't get into particulars, due to confidentality, of course, but... I've been guility of a lot of what Erwin said.
If I have done anything against you... please accept my apologies. And I promise to try and be better.
Bevlina said:I am more than sorry if I have shown strictness or unkindness. All of this has me quite confused because I don't really know what I have done to warrant anything.
But I apologise to all of you if I have been too heavy handed.
I also been a mod on other Forums and have never been accused of being heavy handed.
But, If I have here, I am sorry.
I am doing this off my own bat, nobody has asked me to. But, I am very, very confused. However, please accept my apologies.
cracked_pelicans said:Bevlina, you are what we call "one of the good ones."
nyj said:In my book, all of CF's moderators are "good ones". Especially when you get to really know them, their lives and their desire to love and serve God. If fault is to be given, then put it at the feet of the Administrators and Senior Administrators who are responsible for overseeing the CF Moderators and Senior Moderators, their training and their actions.

Rochir said:The problems Erwin will be addressing go beyond "being polite" towards others. Admins and mods are not here to be merely polite - they are here to lead, guide and help, and one needs training doing that in a fair way!

the mods need to be able to do their Job without so many restrictions, they need to be strict, more so than ever before
Erwin said:Hi
It has come to my attention that some moderators have been particularly heavy-handed in their moderation and acting outside of our moderating guidelines.
For example, some posts or threads have been deleted when they do not break our rules. Deleting of posts and threads are the LAST resort.
We have over 100 staff so you can understand that keeping track is difficult.
Obviously we have fallen short of providing proper training.
For the members who have been affected, accept my direct and personal apology.
We are dealing with staff training at the moment.
Also, I agree that we have TOO MANY forum rules.
As part of the reforms I am proposing we will be consolidating this.
As discussed, the reforms will be introduced ideally by early next month.
Thanks for your patience.
