Someone asked me how dare i bring up Dids old post in another thread. i did so unknowingly i knew nothing of the post nor the man Dids. But as the days go by and the more i read of your posts Dids the more i now take that accusation as a complement. It is nice to see the man and meet his heart.

4Christ2 Come to the understanding that you have given your life completly to God to serve as God guides you with what ever tools He gives you become a true servent in your mind work for the Lord. With each and every prayer remember to use two words [ Use Me ] and use you He will. The first step is accepting your a servent to Him to be used by Him no matter what the calling with the tools given. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much. It is so intimidating to know that even ONE wrong prophetic word discounts one as a prophet. This certainly is a deterrent toward saying, "thus saith the Lord"..LOL

Can anyone explain to me why when giving comforting words to someone in need, the words I write often seem to be saying, "thus saith the Lord" even when those actual words are not there? The question may not make sense. LOL

That's because people don't understand the difference between old-covenant and new-covenant prophecy and judgment..... even though it's explained over and over - it's easier to just throw the whole subject out with a misunderstanding of a scripture in Deuteronomy.

The prophetic voice is prophetic because of the authority of the Lord behind it. The words are superfluous.

Many time our confidence in the Lords words are seen as an over bearing thus saith the Lord and that is the importance of openly showing your weaknesses to others they must see you as a vessel and a vessel only. And that is all we are a vessel and a vessel only. Serving our Lord with the tools given. and being meek and lowly while doing it.

If the message steps on--goes against any of the manners--chacteristics of Love found in 1Cor13:4-7 i would cast it aside if it does not go against any of these 12 manners of Love then i would deliver the message. That is the gauge that makes sense to me anyway.

The sense I get from this, Bellasong, is that you DO listen to His voice, and He is acknowledging that. He is confirming it.

Your fear comes from being in an environment where there could be critical spirits operating. Where there is an environment where there is the Love of God, that fear goes, and you then develop the confidence to step out in faith and give your word knowing that those around you who see or hear the word are going to be loving and supportive of you and not critical.

I think if you come from an attitude of saying, "I am not sure that this is a word from God for you, but I wish to give it in obedience to Him anyway, because there is always someone waiting on the other end of my obedience.." and then you give your word, you can be fairly sure that your word will be genuine, because your heart is humble and genuine. If you are motivated by love towards your brothers and sisters, the Holy Spirit will ensure that what you give will be a blessing, and He will prompt you if you say something that might be outside of His intention.

Usually false prophets are arrogant and unteachable, and they feel they are sure and positive that their words are from God. They stick that in your face without any option to say that it does not witness with you. To not witness to a word from one of these is tantamount to disobeying the Word of God (in their view), and their attitude in given that word makes you feel like that. This is not the work of the Holy Spirit. He is a dove and a gentle breeze who draws you to the Lord with cords of love.

Therefore, if you love your brothers and sisters you could never be like this, and your words will reflect the love of God for them.

This touched my heart more than I could tell you! I have wanted to be called by a new name by God for a while and have been praying for that very thing. Thank you. I will be listening for His voice on this! Thank you for stepping out in faith and for your humility. I pray that God blesses you abundantly! Fear not when you hear the voice of the Lord!

I am so glad that you have found this place so that you can be here to fellowship with us and recieve encouragement. I sense that when you step out in faith and humility as you have done, God will use you in great and surprising ways. You are His beloved child and He takes great pleasure in using you to bring Him glory, that it may also bring you joy.

Let us each pray now for VictoriousSpirit. She is a good friend of mine and I do not feel permitted to be the one to give her a word at this time. She knows it, so this post won't be a surprise to her.

That is excellant advice. I find that to be true. A true prophet will not throw fits when his words are challenged as I have seen some do when their word is not recieved.

I had this one girl give me a word that was really for herself, and she got upset when I told her, her correction wasn't for me. I didn't even bother telling her it was for herself because I sensed she would never receive it. I just very nicely said that wasn't me. I did examine myself to see if it was for me, and I kept getting "the something is wrong about this word" feeling in the pit of my stomach. There was no peace in it at all. Correction from God no matter if its a rebuke is still always peaceful. At least it is for me.
