What do I expect? I expect this WOF rubbish to be keep on the WOF forum where it belongs. You cannot “practice” prophecy.
Yes you can. I don't see you offering any advice at all. All you are doing is complaining.

Where you see contention and strife, I see correcting bad behavior. And I beleive in prophecy, I just don't believe in making a mockery of it on a forum. I have even had people prophesy over me. There is no accountability when done this way. They are just flattering words on a web page.
Possibly because you don't see any of us as real. Does that mean you aren't real either? You're just a nick and there is no real person behind your words?

At times we are poor and we complain.
And yet we pull together.
At times we are rich and seem happy.
And yet we pull apart.
We strive for compassion.
And yet we fall to envy and strife.
We search for Love.
And yet when found we tear it apart.
We seek tenderness.
And yet we let anger and hate.
Bury that which we have found.
Life seems so twisted so complicated.
Its much simpler than it may seem.
Sometimes the twisted.
Needs only to be straightened out.
Poor or rich.
Each is but one more twist.
Each a different direction.
Through compassion we find Love.
And through compassion and Love.
We find a tenderness found by few.
Not to be found in the flesh of our heart.
But in the very fabric of our spirit.
Within the twists of our twisted lives.
Lies a great peace within.
God has hidden it within the twists of our lives.
Like a pearl waiting to be discovered.
The more twists our life has had.
The more precious the pearl when found.
He who has hidden it within waits.
Waits for you to seek his help.
To straighten the twists of our lives.
To find the peace within.
The true Pearl of life: Compassion, Love, and Kindness.
Thanks for that:) Is this a song or something you just wrote? Thanks for sharing it with me I truly appricate it:)I thank God for it:)It has already helped me:)

Rom 12:6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;

THE PRACTICE IS IN THE STEPPING OUT IN FAITH.
THE PROPHECY IS EITHER THEIR OR NOT...TRUE OR NOT. THAT IS TO BE JUDGED BY THE PERSON OR PERSONS RECIEVING.
AND WILL NEVER BE CONTRARY TO GOD'S WORD.

When a person comes on.. and they are making posts that disrupt a thread.. we should go on and keep talking about that which is being discussed.. Lets not be disrupted for where confusion and strife.. it opens the door to the evil one.. Maybe take the convo if we have too to PM.. But let the good.. continue.. let us not give a foothold to the devil..

Rubbishing Christians from faith systems other than yourself is failing to discern the Lord's body. I would warn against you taking communion in a church in future until you are able to settle this and get it right, otherwise, as the scripture says in ICorinthians11, you would be eating and drinking damnation to yourself because you are putting down other members of the Body of Christ just because you don't agree with their theology.

When Jesus broke the bread at the Last Supper, He did not break several loaves, like the Pentecostal loaf and the Word of Faith loaf and the Presbyterian loaf, etc. He broke just one loaf. Everyone who has given their lives to the Lord come from that one loaf. When you put down other members of the body of Christ, you are directly criticising the Lord Himself for making them as much of His body as you are.

IJohn states that unless we love one another, we are nothing. He says that the evidence that we are part of the Body of Christ is that we love one another. Notice that he does not say that loving the Lord is the evidence of being part of the Body. It is that we love one another. John also says that if we do not love, we don't know God for God is love.

The posts you are putting on this thread lack basic love toward the others on this thread who are seeking and getting words of prophecy. You are merely expressing your own point of view on what you believe and making that more important than loving the others on this thread. You are also falsely using the authority of the Lord to give weight to your unloving statements.

I would be very much afraid if I were you, because the scripture says that the amount of judgement you mete out to others, the same will be measured back to you by the Lord. You are opening yourself up to some severe chastening from the Lord, because in the scripture it says that whom the Lord loves He will chasten. He wants to keep you out of Hell, therefore the Lord will take you in hand and give you correction, therefore repent for your unloving statements, or expect it to happen to you.

This is how we know we love God, when we love our brothers and sisters in Christ. Therefore, to prove to God that you love Him, you need to change your heart toward the Word of Faith brothers and sisters and demonstrate that you love them sincerely in the Lord.

In the light of this, I challenge you to find 10 things that are good and are of the Holy Spirit in the Word of Faith movement and post them on the Word of Faith thread, plus a full apology for your unloving statements, and ask for the forgiveness of every member of that thread.

Then I will know that you have got this right with God.

The fellow does not love Word of Faith Christians, neither does he love us on this thread. Therefore we need to give him up to the Lord for Him to deal with him according to His will.

Your standing with the Lord depends on it. It is not the movement you need to deal with, it is the Christians in it who are part of the Body of Christ. By criticising those Christians, you are wounding the Body of Christ. If some members of the body are suffering, we all are.

My discussion with you is at an end and I therefore in the Name of Jesus, give you up to the Lord for Him to deal with you according to His will.

I am very impressed that all of you seem to be so sure about the direction you are being led by God's Holy Spirit. I so desire to serve the Lord in whatever capacity He wants to use me. I also freely admit that I am afraid to "step out" in faith in the gifts of teaching, word of knowledge, and prophesy.

How does one build up their faith to "act" according to the Holy will of God's Spirit?
Answer : Jude 20: "building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit" *
*specifically; praying in tongues

WOF does not carry an unbiblical stance on anything relating to gifts of the Holy Spirit including prophesy (based on my 20+ years of experience) This is not suggesting by any means that everything that is said and done in this thread is according to WOF belief.

Answer : Jude 20: "building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit" *
*specifically; praying in tongues

You are quite correct. The gift of tongues is a valuable tool in preparing us in the Spirit for moving in the prophetic. We can pray something in tongues in 1 minute that might take us 24 hours to work through using our natural language. The language that the Holy Spirit gives us is the most appropriate and effective language for discussing with God the mysteries of faith and His kingdom.

When we pray in tongues, we are speaking mysteries to God. He responds by giving us revelation. It is through that revelation that we can move in the prophetic. The revelation that He gives us is always consistent with the Word of God found in the Bible. Often the revelation comes with a deeper insight into the written scriptures - and ones that we might have read many times before. After praying for a period of time in tongues, we can look at the scripture and see things in it that we have never seen before. This is because using the gift of tongues extends our spiritual capacity to receive revelation from God.

As we become more sensitive to the voice of God (through the regular use of tongues), then the uncertainty and fear about exercising the gift of prophecy goes. This is because we can now tell the difference between a prophetic word from the Holy Spirit and the sentiments of our natural mind.

Also, Smith Wigglesworth talks about starting in the natural when moving in the prophetic, but the Holy Spirit taking over after the first couple of words. This is a very interesting thought. We get a seed thought and we don't know whether it is from the Holy Spirit or our natural mind. We decide to step out in faith and obedience, and after saying a couple of words, our mind is liberated with a whole lot more input. Where does that input come from? It comes from the Holy Spirit backing our faith; so, according to Smith Wigglesworth, our first couple of words may be in the natural, but the rest is prophetic because the Holy Spirit comes in and continues the word until He completes the flow of revelation. I like this concept.

Actually some of the most powerful prophecies have come from people saying "I don't know whether this is from God or not, but...." And the word has been so amazingly accurate that it has changed some lives forever.

I haven't been on this thread for a while because the Lord told me to give it a wide berth for a while. Today I felt like I could read it again.

So I have.

Oscarr - some really wise stuff. I hear in my heart that you are about to be called up a level. Like Ruth connecting Boaz opened a door to glory, so another will open a door for you that you have not been able to open for yourself.

Cheers

While at a local parade i watched as the children lined the edge of the streets, edging their way closer and closer to the middle of the street. they knew there was going to be candy thrown to them and they greatly desired to recieve this candy. The floats would come by and throw out candy and the children would run out and get as much as they could pick up. All trying to get more than the other. However there was ONE child who after picking up all that he was able, turned to the other children and adults around him and shared with them what he had recieved. He did this not just once but each time he went out and picked up the candy. This was the only child out of the many that was there doing this.
This child truly had the heart of Jesus.
Those who walk in Gods Way, is it not the word of God what feeds, builds and strengthens our lives. Is not the word of God a gift to us to better our lives and to lift the cover of darkness from our lives. We who walk in Gods Way do we have that same desire to recieve the word of God. Are we as the children at the parade pushing toward, desiring to recieve Gods word and His blessings? Are the front rows of His churches filled with those who have the desire, and the excitment to recieve the word of God. Or are we just sitting back and hoping a little is thrown our way and lands at our feet ? Are we grabbing as much as we can and sharing with no one.
I pray we can all become as the young man at the parade. The one of many who had the desire to recieve, and then after recieving, had the Love in his heart to share with others that which he had been blessed with.
For then shall our spirit be as God intended.
