• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
 • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi folks. I would like to request your prayers over me... the Lord led me to a small church where I am currently serving as a Bible study leader. I've always better identified with Pentecostal/Charismatic churches, but at least for this season, I am in a church that is not one. (And honestly, I respectfully don't care to get into an argument about that because I choose to have a Kingdom perspective vs. denominational perspective) I've witnessed the reasons why God has brought to this small church and don't question it. However, one thing I notice is that it has been a loong loong while (since Spring of this year) where I have not had a prophetic dream or vision. That's a long stretch for me and I think it's partly due to the fact that the spiritual headship I'm under is not one that believes in practicing such gifts. What do you think??

Recently, an old friend told me a major life-changing situation that I actually dreamt about 5 yrs ago. So I'd really appreciate your prayers because I don't want to miss out on some warnings and major guidance.

Please let me know too if you have any word for me, especially something that's been in my heart since summer (hmmm coinky-dink?); and if you've experienced something similar.

thanks again

I think you likely are right that the limitation may be in part because of the headship or authority you are under. If you have no one in authority over you in this area It could be easy to get off track. This may not be a bad thing God often shifts us around in his kingdom for perposes we often don't understand. I do recomend continuing in prayer and perhaps through you this church or members of it will be changed and uplifted. The time for prophesey may come again soon or never that is up to God.
I will be praying.
Lord please give this sister peace and understanding.
Lead her as you will.

Somebody blessed me with 1000 blessings, but i don't know who, not sure what to do with them:confused: I tried do a character a while back, when Cindy blessed me, but the character didn't work

The Lord has called me to be part of a really on fire church with alot of power in the prophetic and deliverance, i am not sure what my purpose is their, if God shows anyone, let me know

The services are like three to four hours long, and the pastors[a husband and wife] are frustrated for lack of growth:scratch:

Please pray, and let me know,if God reveals anything, anyone:amen:

Thanks for your prayers. I am a sister though, but thanks anyway and much blessings. I agree with you and think it's also practice - in terms of receiving word while praying for one another one on one.... this is why I'm on this thread. I'm not looking so much for prophecy as in an event, but more to be used for the edification of others while in prayer, as God reveals. It usually uplifts the other when I'm able to give a specific word and in the process I feel uplifted too. And when I look back at the past few months, I haven't been practicing the one-on-one prayer simply because it's not a regular thing at the church I'm now attending. I will simply have to practice this in other ways....

...so any one .... please feel free to request prayer and I will also check in here once in a while to see if God reveals anything to me.

Hey...could use word from God...would ask Him myself as i have..not doing well..too much sin...could use guidance or something..so to confirm or to know that i am way off or on....thanks..GOd bless

The Lord says to come in to His presence with thanksgiving and in to His courts with praise, and spend quality time with Him in the secret place, and He will fill you to overflowing and make it easy for you to practice these scriptures:

Romans 12

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Hebrews 12

1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about * with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Don't be in a hurry to leave His presence, wait for total satisfaction, and then psalm 23 will occur!!!

oops sorry I was in the middle of the post when i wondered I guess I should have listened to that still amll voice and checked or at least made my post more generic.

I have a hunch God is going to use you to set that church on fire, spiritually of course. That is not a prophesey just a prediction from my own thoughts.

Maybe someone could pray for me? I try to sit and listen but I get nothing. I don't see, hear, feel anything.
Is there something blocking your communion with God?
That thought jumped at me I don't know if it is from me or not. I have heard a couple of good sermons lately about how sin or even not acting on what God says can cause A blockage in our communication with God. I am not pointing fingers Just sharing what came to my mind in case i heard those sermons to share with you or someone else who is reading this.
Peace in Christ,
Cory

*raises hand* Not to sound like a dork (too late, I know), but what exactly is this thread about?

It is supposed to be a place where people can give and receive words of prophecy, particularly for those who are fairly new to the prophetic and who would like a safe outlet for their developing gift under the supervision of experienced people who can evaluate their words and give helpful guidance and encouragement.

It was not meant to be a debate and discussion thread, but there has been a lot of discussion at time, some important and useful, others just a waste of everyone's time.

Just a warning though, if you decide to step out in faith and either ask for a word or give one, be prepared to cope with negative comments by those who don't believe in using prophetic ministry on the forum.

But be encouraged to know that there is a strong team of supporters who will keep encouraging you in the Lord.

I could use a word Oscarr, see if you get a seed thought:thumbsup:

Thanks for the request. In order to be consistent with the forum rules I am not going to tag the word that I am going to give to you as a personal one, although if it speaks to you then that will be a blessing to both of us. Others on the forum are invited to receive the word as well if they sense that the Holy Spirit is speaking to them through it.

To as many as received Christ, the Father gave them eternal life so that they are no longer dominated by sin but are free to fellowship with Him and do His will without hindrance. Therefore, whom the Son sets free is really and truly free with a freedom that cannot be gained by anything in this world or this life.

We are pilgrims in this world, passing through. If we try to make this world the most important place to us, we lose our fellowship with the Father. This world will pass away with everything in it - the organisations, the pleasures, and all the things that worldly people see as important. Only the treasure that you are building up in heaven through the times that you decide to do the will of God in your life and actions, will remain. Only that will survive the fire of God when it comes to burn this old world up.

Therefore ensure that what you are building up for yourself is not going to be turned to ashes when the fire of God comes. If we press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ, then we will do the things that are in the will of God and we will conduct ourselves and live lives pleasing to the Father. When we meet Him face to face, the most precious thing we will hear Him say to us is, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

When we try and promote ourselves, we open ourselves up to frustration and disappointment. The Father would have us walk the humble road, not puffing ourselves up or lording it over others; but building ourselves up in faith and the knowledge of God. But when the Father promotes us and gives us more responsibility in the Body of Christ, then we are truly blessed, because it is the Lord who has said to us, "Come up higher." This is because the Scripture says, "Promotion does not come from the east or the west, but the Lord sets up one and puts down another, according His will and purposes." Therefore if you aspire to greater responsibility and leadership in ministry then it is far better to wait for the Lord, even if He takes a very long time, than to push the doors open yourself.

Therefore, rest in the Lord; in his Love for you; in His grace which He has extended to you; and in the gifts you already have to use for Him. He is faithful, and will give you the desires of heart in due time according to the portion that He has given you and His purposes for your life.

Hello Oscar
God bless
I'm here to hear

The Lord has said that His ways are higher than our ways; as high as heaven is above the earth, so His ways are higher than our ways. This is why when we need to know His ways for our lives, we need to seek Him in the secret place instead of rushing out, depending on our own ability and wisdom, and trying to do things our way. There is an error in trying to meet our own needs in our own way.

This is not to say that because God's ways are higher than our ways that we cannot come to the place where we can understand what the Lord is doing in and through us. The Scripture tells us to not be unwise but understanding what the will of God is for us. We can know the will of God, and be able to receive His plans and purposes for us.

Therefore, it is best to wait before the Lord and to give Him time to reveal His ways to us. Don't worry about how long that will take. He has all eternity to reveal His will to us; and what if we die before His full plan is revealed? We will be with Him anyway, and we will know as we are known. It is much better to wait before Him and walk softly with Him than to rush forward and try to establish what we think is correct and appropriate. He knows the way we take, and His doors will open to us in due time.
