CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Prayers for Dave and his wife.
Asking for prayers for my aunt Miriam, who is in the hospital. She was getting over pneumonia, but has developed some new serious symptoms.

Lord we ask that you supernatually touch Dave and ease his pain. We also ask that the doctors help him as well to manage this problem through appropriate pain medication. Please help him to be strong through this trial and to trust you to hold him steady and secure in your love. Please do not let this trial be too much for him to endure also strengthen and meet the needs of his family. AMEN

I have a friend who is battling Chronic leukemia. She had an experimental treatment and it actually set her back alot so now is having to have lots of transfusions to get back to where she was before she started it. She is retired so can pace herself but she still has a house and property to care for etc. I have tried to share with her a bit about Christianity but haven't pushed. She does know I am praying for her though. I would like to believe for a fantastic blood report for her in the very near future. something to get her attention so she knows God Loves Her. Her name is Nancy.

prayers for amy nancy and aunt miriam and dave. Do you realize that 3/4 have cancer?(not sure what aunt miriams illness is). Cancer such a scary word but God our creator is Lord of All including cancer. He can renew our cells and heal us of our illnesses and our diseases. Give us the faith today to believe for this Lord and WE pray Lord that this will be the case for these friends and loved ones. Give them health and peace and joy in you. AMEN

Hi Golden Eagles, Again thanks for prayers for my aunt. She has a heart condition and that appears to have stabilized, but it will be a long recovery.
Two other requests -- my friend Beth has entered hospice for her brain tumor. Prayers for comfort and relief from her pain.
Asking prayers for my colleague Pat. Her brother, who is in the US Navy, was swept overboard yesterday. I am heart sick for her.
