Just stopping in to say hello and thank you for all your prayers and sweet fellowship.
I will be taking a breather from GE for a while. I do ask your forgiveness if I have hurt anyone's feelings in my recent posts.
I probably need another trip around the moutain called "patience".

Thanks everyone for prayers for my back and your comments Jan . It is hard when things are mounting up, but I managed to do the ironing today. I can't rest too much though, because it hurts when I lie down for any length of time, or sit too long! It is better than it was though.

Just wondering, at that age: Have you had your hormone-levels checked?, particularly: Thyroid, Adrenal & Progesterone?

In my case, x-rays show degenerative discs to be the probable pain source. When someone rear-ended my car a couple of weeks ago, I think it caused of a flair-up.

That is a probable cause. I am so glad it wasn't worse Kaykay. I had physio for months after I was rear ended. It eventually healed the lower back but I still get upper back pain quite frequently and can't seem to find a permanent solution. Any one with any ideas? I think the physio said that my spinal joints are too tight almost fused with little mobility . I do stretches as much as I can and heat helps a lot. It isn't excruciating just annoying mostly. I am on hormones but for a different matter and it hasn't helped the back at all. Jan

What helps me the most, particularly with neck and upper back pain (which I have more frequently than low back probs) is my chiropractor. If you can find a good one, they can be a life-saver. Incidentally, I have been told that besides the degenerative stuff, I have the same problem you described~ my spinal joints are very compressed. So I don't know how you feel about chiropractors, or if you've ever used one, but I highly recommend it. (For me, seeing the chiro is not a permanent solution, but it vastly improves the quality of my life.) Praying for you~

Also continuing to pray for kaykay and Jan regarding your back-pain . I've found applying heat followed by cold can help mine. Years ago a physiotherapist suggested five minutes heat followed by five minutes cold, three times each ending with cold. It helps, but I have lower back pain, due I think to having slipped on ice years ago, so it may be different to yours. I don't think it's hormonal Annie, but thanks for the suggestion, and for your prayers everyone . It's getting better .

Would you all please pray for my former boss and his wife? Their names are Denise and Terry. He has had to give up his business and she is completely bedridden now with multiple sclerosis. He has had some health issues too. I hear he is very depressed. They are in their early to mid fifties. (They are Christians.)

I am praying for all of those who have requested prayer recently, but I am also praying that each every member, not only of this forum, but the entire forum would find in it in their hearts to give back to God all that He would desire. He has given us everything and we still so much of the time walk along in our own ways seeking our own pleasures. God wants us to please Him. Help us dear Lord that we want to please you! Praying kaykay . I'm sorry they are having such a difficult time, but am thankful that they know the Lord and are in His hands.
