need to find a church - I work weekends so need to find one that has midweek services or at least a Sunday night one.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just found this forum today. It is such a delight meeting new friends in the Christian faith. I have been reading the prayer requests and have already begun praying for so many. And yes, I also think we should all pray for Jennifer Hudson. The unspeakable pain she must be feeling right now. Only God can comfort her and give her the strength to face each new day. We serve such an awesome and compassionate and powerful God. Where would I be today without Him? I don't even want to think about it. He is the very air I breathe, and my reason for breathing it.
It is an honor to meet and pray for you all. My prayer request is for my sons. Neither one is walking with the Lord, both are struggling with results of poor choices ~ I just want them to return to the God of their youth and to seek His will in their next choices.

Welcome to you NewGrandma...in a way I have been praying for your sons as I have been praying for America ... for God to have mercy upon us once more and turn our hearts back o Him as a nation...but also for Him to stretch out His hand and save MANY. Lord remember the backsliders and those who have heard unclear teaching...let Your gospel be fully proclaimed, without fear by men who live godly lives...open our hearts and ears to hear Your voice and repent and turn from our wicked ways...make us sensitive to what grieves the holy Spirit and may we become a praying people...crying out to You for every need...for every task that You ordain for us to walk in.
Thank You Lord so much for Your longsuffering and patience with a world that just doesn't want You...God we need Your grace so very much...remember Your tender mercies and lovingkindnesses...for they have been of old.
Lord...comfort rebornfree...her deal with her depression and give her light in dark places.

Thank you everyone for your prayers! I got through the day okay, and I know that God is dealing with the causes of my depression. He did tell me it would be difficult for a while, but then there will be good things. Praise Him

I echo angelwind's prayer for a Godless world, and also ask for prayer for a return to wholesome values in our TV programmes. I am continually shocked by much of what is being shown here in the UK, sometimes in quite "normal" programmes, and I suspect it is much the same elsewhere in the world. Can we pray for our nations' TV programmes please?
In fairness there are some very good programmes too, and I pray that these will be the ones which people watch and our TV networks broadcast. Thank you. This is an issue which has been on my heart for some time. Sue

Lord this is so true...help us all to keep our eyes on You...and You are the Most valuable blessing we have...help us all bow to Your Providence ... to Your wisdom and to Your word ... help us to believe ... alll things are possible to him who bleieves...strengthen our hearts for we are needy, we are empty and poor of spirit...we always have been Lord...let us find You in our need...let us find the provision You have put before us like Hagar in the wilderness...let us be refreshed by Your grace.

I'm praying for you both kaykay . As someone who suffers from depression I know how horrible it can be. God knows every detail of it though, including the causes, and I pray that He will bring His healing into you husband's soul, and that you will know that your husband is in safe Hands.
