  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Her temperature is down but not gone. Had blood tests yesterday. Waiting for results.

On the good news front, a couple of generous men have stepped up and covered immediate financial needs that I haven’t been able to. Living on the edge all the time and being responsible for so many has been hard; having a couple of months to breathe easier and look for better work is a real relief.

Have had a couple of *maybe* offers; won’t know for a while.

My name is William and I'd appreciate prayers to help me in my journey of faith. I am new and it fluctuates badly. Some days I feel like it's maybe bogus and others I'm all over it! Also, I have doubts that Orthodoxy is for me. I've not joined the Church yet but I'm preparing. Please will you pray that I find my way? Thank you so much

My wife has been hospitalized in Russia, high temps and flu symptoms two weeks running. Now we are all separated from each other. My teenage daughter is alone at our home, aged grandmother is alone at the dacha, I in Montenegro. It feels crazy.

Also, the mechanic told me my car has cancer (requires engine removal, thousands of $ I don’t have), and I can feel it, the car starts shaking when you hit the gas to accelerate rapidly, like when you want to pass a slow vehicle. I could not now dare to make the epic return journey in it back to Russia that I dreamed of.

My wife has been discharged from the hospital. The antibiotics were effective, it seems, though she is still weaker and more tired than usual.
I took my car to a different mechanic, who replaced a part, and the major symptom disappeared. I don’t know how accurate my main mechanic’s diagnosis is, so am still nervous, but it appears that some time has definitely been bought.
Thank you for your prayers! This exile really appreciates them!

Dear priest Army Matt and all

i am in severe trouble and i am als guilty myself. a week ago God forced me with all his power to write a former teacher promises, love sentences and sexual things and he tried to trick me this man would be my destiny and though i was forced i believed God and cheated on my future husband and this teacher reads my mind i am under his observence day and night and i am guilty myself too and God lets this happen and i do not know if i ever will be free this is like if it would be black magic and i ccannot even visit church!!!! i am suffering like hell and my soul is destroyed nearly and i do not know when God will free me please do everything possible you can do for me please pray from all your heart and maybe you know what to do if you could start a common prayer with other priests of your church for me daily i am suffering like hell please anwer me you will not let me helpless in this hell. need your engaged prayers

Whatever you do, do not despair. St. Paul tells us if we fall, we can always be restored. See Romans 11:22-24.
