CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Tree fell on my friend's house a few minutes ago, which also crushed their shed. Also, the back half of their garage simply 'disappeared' during the storm.
Nobody is hurt yet, praise God.

The situation with my Job offer was rectified just a few minutes ago. Praise God for his kindness to all men!
And everyone survived the storm. The road was cleared of electrical lines and branches earlier, so I was able to go help them surveythe damage. 3 Structures were destroyed at my friend's property by the tree that fell, but the house itself seems to have been protected from the tree somehow miraculously (because that gigantic tree (4 or 5 foot diameter), despite smashing everything else, is resting gently on the house? just a few shingles needing to be replaced. So, they still have a roof over their heads. Praise God.
