CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I used to be a regular poster here a few years ago. I wa just "Kolya" then. I'm still a devoted Russian Orthodox Christian. I just request your prayers for me and my wife Seraphima. I was retrenched from my job at the end of October. Please pray for us that God will reveal His future will to us.

+My great uncle Ronald's oldest daughter from his first marriage (I forgot her name) died as of Thursday, October 27th, 2011. She was 52 I believe, and had been suffering from throat cancer for ten years. I never met her, but I heard she was a wonderful woman. May her memory be eternal as she enters into the Heavenly Kingdom. May her passing may not cause my family pain, but peace, as she is suffering no more. I also pray for my great uncle Ronald and his wife Brenda, as they are not Christians, and that they would turn to the Lord in their time of need. + Amen. +

Please pray. I will be going to the doctor tomorrow due to being hit in the eye with a flying projectile at work today. My eye is red and swollen and my vision suffered impairment temporarily.
I also have some spiritual issues going on and would appreciate prayers for both myself and my husband. Thanks.

My oldest daughter and her family are in the Orthodox Church of America. Please pray that the rest of my family will be receptive to the Orthodox Church. I long to be part of an Orthodox parish. I am an inquirer, and have not been able to do more than study and rarely visit my daughter in an Orthodox setting. My husband is very opposed. We are Episcopalians. Please pray for us.

Gradually getting better. I don't have a scratched cornea. I'll be going back to the eye doctor on Tuesday, so hopefully, everything will check out fine.

I'm in a pretty rough shape; I've been having some kind of weird but really severe stress lately.. I suffered a severe infection to the muscles of my lower back a while ago which still troubles me, I have constant nausea and stomach problems and haven't been able to sleep more than a couple hours a night lately. Please pray :l

Please pray my cousin, Nena, and family. She is 13 and just diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago, Rhabdomyosarcoma. She is very depressed and has given up on life. 
They are not faithful church goers so please pray for that change also. Thank you.
