Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Praying for your breathing, spice, and for continued healing. :prayer:

I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad accident when doing gymnastics (which must have been exciting but strenuous I imagine! :)). If there is any residual problem I pray that the doctors will find it, but hope that there is none and that your breathing difficulty is due to a minor cause which will soon clear up. :prayer: that the Lord leads you through this difficult time, with His tender love and care, and that you will soon feel much better.

(BTW don't forget the "comforting scriptures" thread, which is for times like these. :))

Hi rebornfree

Thanks for the comforting quotes thread and feel free to remind me again and again too.

I wrote about the time I fell onto my neck here The day that I died?

How are you doing over there in england? Not as sunny as texas is it?

Hi Dave,
thanks for sharing your struggles with breathing and viscosity. How did you acquire this struggle?

Do you think I got myself a TBI back in 1979 when this occurred to me?

I've been crying my guts out to my dad who is crying too as he remembers how horrific a fall it was and how life changing.

Need to br more thankful and bear more fruit of the spirit as I've been more grouchy and selfish today, so need to and have been asking for forgiveness and guidance for the holy spirit and scripture to correct my negative attitude.

Galatians 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Oh gosh, only God could 'know' the answer, to-that question
and, maybe your doctor's also, with God's grace

As for your prayers, He is listening to your heart, ~it's sadness and it's joys
Enjoy, whatever you can and, be extremely grateful you are
still-able 'to-enjoy, those 'things'

Isaiah 40:31

No, not so sunny :D, although recently we have had a few good days! The spring flowers and the blossom on the trees are looking beautiful. :)

I'm sorry to hear that you sustained a severe injury in your youth. I hope you get all the medical care you need and when you leave the nursing home you will feel much better, and begin to enjoy your new hip. I also pray that you will be free from pain. :prayer:

I know we all have tough times, which is why I started the comforting scriptures thread. Maybe you could ask the Lord to give you a verse/verses particularly for you right now. :) I've found that helpful in the past.

thank you for those beautiful prayers. I'm now in the second week at the home.

The drain has been removed from my wound and my dressing changed.

I've not been released yet bc there is concern about my depression, and I had a "sitter" watch me all night by sitting next to my bed.

A female minister is coming tomorrow morning to talk with me.

I admitted to feeling pretty badly with despair and I wonder if I will go to a hospital for that.

Honestly, I think I could use the help if need be.

It's sad that I would have to have an accidental fracture to get the help I've been needing, but suddenly, I'm not alone in the house anymore.

How many days have I screamed or cried for help at home and there was no one to hear me.

No family members live nearby, and I have no children.

I had started a new church last year only to have the most horrible thing happen there with one of the members being my therapist and his creating a dual relationship that became a nightmare for me.

So I stopped therapy and church feeling so betrayed there are no words for this one.

But so far this year after devastating losses, I'm attending another new church, and being ministered to by the other older women there.

One of them is a surgical nurse who is retired, but still works when she can for 2 surgeons, one of whom is mine.

Imagine my shock and surprise when I found out she signed up to work my surgery without my knowing.

When they wheeled me into surgery, there she was, putting in my IV's, talking to me with kind gentle words and holding my hand and soothing me.

The last thing I remember before going under was her saying "I've got you, I'm, here for you," as she kissed my cheek.

I closed my eyes with the sensation of the wetness of that kiss, and peacefully went to sleep with her still holding my hand.

I hope yours, and everyone's, Easter is a very blessed one. :)

Repent and ask Jesus to be your savior, take up your cross and follow Him. Be born again every single day, giving thanks for His blood atonement on the cross and His resurrection from death to show us the way the truth and the life. Follow him here on earth and be His hands and feet, serving others.

Amen

To be brief, I spent hours today dealing with shortness of breath and dizziness and a blood draw revealed my d-dimer level was elevated. It was determined I probably had a blood clot and needed to go to the er, so an ambulance came to the nursing home and got me.

I am so tired of this. My friend came from church and I wrote out my will and gave it to her as well as made her my power of attorney.

She is one these church ladies I've talked about at this new church I'm now going to who are so lovingly taking care of others in the community.

She gave me an angel she had made herself from jewelry smithing and beads and placed it onto my shirt for angelic protection and off I went to the er.

I am ok for now, but it can all change in an instant-life is fragile and we need to appreciate it.

Unreal, scary day. Should make Easter Sunday all the more special!
