Brother Dave,
Your sister will be in my prayers.
Praying for you spice. May the Lord be with you before, during and after this surgery.
Also praying for Janet and her treatment this month.![]()

When they were replacing my hip, my surgeon fractured my thighbone aka my femur.
Because My femur is in danger of continuing to fracture, they had to install a metal cable to wrap around it and keep it from breaking any more. It will be a permanent part of my body.
I am in a nursing home because I can do any weight bearing or take care of myself.
I have also gained 11 pounds in water weight and my surgical leg is twice its normal size.
My upper thigh is numb and they said I could have permanent nerve damage.
I have to wait many weeks to see if my thigh ever returns to normality again.
True to form for most nursing homes, when I got here 6 hours ago I was supposed to have pain medication available and it's not available.
Nothing is available at all. Nothing.

and I agree with js that all things are possible with God.

Please pray for me that my care providers find out why my pulse ox was as low as 69 after surgery, I spent the follwoing 3 days on oxygen and attatched to a pulse ox meter with an alarm.
I kept setting it off and the nurse would literally run into my room and yell at me to "BREATHE!" because I would literally slow down to the point of hardly breathing at all.
An oxygen saturation rate is good at 90's -100%, and mine was repeatedly 69-70's to low to mid 80's.
They had to keep reminding me to breathe.
Seems the impulse or drive to breathe is not quite there.
It could be due to what's causing my focal dystonia in my back. which my doctor of physical medicine said was due to brain injury.
Now a low drive to breathe could also be due to brain injury.
As rebornfree mentioned, it could have been the "godsend" that I needed to uncover a mystery brain illness.
My trouble with not having a very strong drive to inhale started after a very tragic injury to my neck and sternum when I fell onto my neck in gymnastics.
Instinctively I knew that something was very wrong, but could not get my mom to believe me nor take me to the right doctor.
Apparently, I fell on my head and should just shake it off.
So I'm very anxious and very confused lately, most likely due to not have enough brain oxygen.

that the Lord leads you through this difficult time, with His tender love and care, and that you will soon feel much better.
