Many thanks to Ausbob, Rebornfree and FaithinLife for your prayers. She did eventually see the doctor who said her vocal chords were damaged and told her to come back in 2 weeks if her speech hadn't returned to normal. Her speech hasn't returned to normal, but she hasn't been able to make another appointment with the doctor.

Her current tenancy ends next Sunday, but she will probably come home on Saturday.

He was 78. I am 51, still I feel like a child again missing my precious father.
Lord God, comfort my mother's heart, my brother and sister, and all who loved him.
Jesus, you cried, you know the pain and sadness we feel by death. Precious Lord, comfort us, God of all comfort! In Jesus mighty name I pray.

I am happy to say that there has been a marked improvement in her speech, especially since she moved out of the supported living facility where she had been living and moved back home. She still has a little bit of difficulty, especially when she is stressed, but most of the time she is talking normally. Praise God.
