They weighed Mary when we arrived at the hospital this-afternoon
up 3 pounds on Friday's reading

Mary, starts her chemo this-week
Her heart and kidneys
have been flagged, as good to go with the chemo
6 visits and three weeks between each session
and tablets x2 daily in-between visits

All the possible side-effects were mentioned
and we were advised, on 'what to do'
including ...re: some 'life-threatening' side-effects

Hey ho, we could 'slip and break our neck'.... at anytime
Wait and see what-happens < isn't it ?

enable the surgeon's skills, to affect the best procedural results
and effective healing for Wayne, post-op
and strengthen his family as they await the 'news of success'

We got a phone call from the ward this morning
Our appointment was brought-forward three hours
So, instead of beginning chemo treatment at 3.30pm
it was begun just before 1pm and we were clear by 4.30pm
and, out of the car-park by 5pm

1 treatment behind us and five left to go
The anti-nausea drugs appear to be working [in Mary]
We know that her immune system [defences] will be lowered
throughout the treatment, and it will be necessary
for Mary to shield herself, from persons that are obviously 'poorly'
especially in crowded places

So far so good,
Mary, is showing no signs, of reduced energy levels
and I
that this 'tolerance' to the treatment continues throughout the whole course

With our phone ~a veritable 'hotline'
I turned off the heating 'phew'

There was sufficient 'excess' thermal energy
radiating from the phone cable [throughout the house]
Family and friends in the UK and 'Brenda' over there in Ontario, Canada

Brenda sent Mary 'a flower gift' via 'Interflora'
a beautiful gift indeed

Is it me ? or, can anyone-else see 'angels' and 'butterflies' in the blooms ?

Mary was quite overcome [with emotion]
when I walked in with it, having collected it
from a neighbour, with-whom it had been, left
It took, but, a minute, or less, to open up the wrapping

We 'both' had wet eyes, after, I had read the wishes that were written, on the card


We are 'blessed' Lord, your 'love', it grows here \o/

I only just came on the forum a while ago and learned about Mary. I have already advised Kathy (my wife) and we are joining in prayer with you. May the good Lord keep His hand on the two of you! He is able in all situations.

So far so good...

Mary appears to have taken
the FIRST of the treatments, VERY WELL
ie: None, of the published 'side-effects', has yet raised it's head

Please, do not forget, to thank Kathy for her prayers for us

He hears us and yes, even the groanings of our hearts
