I'd appreciate prayers again. My grandson Madden (11 years old) has the flu. Please pray that he gets better and that the rest of the family doesn't get it. There's a flu epidemic here and in many other American cities. It's very sad that some have died. This is my daughter's family with 4 grandsons, all 4 still at home.

Praying for my neighbour (#10) 'Shirley'




Shirley was diagnosed with abdominal tumours (last year)
3 years after her husband 'David' died there, following heart-problems
Shirley's 'Chemo treatment' was ceased five months ago
ie: after just 'four' sessions
because her blood-count (platelets) had become greatly reduced

Shirley 'went home' early last-week
News, of her passing has, only just
trickled-back to, our neighbourhood, because
Shirley, went into St. Ann's Hospice a little over three weeks
ago after admitting to carers, that she had become unable, to look after herself
Shirley's niece 'Wendy' informed-us on Tuesday
and has invited our neighbourhood (a cul-de-sac)
to loot and plunder Shirley's apartment, (at will)
before, the house-clearance people arrive, next week

The two-storey block, of 14 apartments, has long been called "Death Alley"
(every time someone dies there) [* 4 or 5 since I arrived here]

Madden is some better today, so we're praying that the worst of this is over. Everyone else in the family is still well, and we give thanks. Thank you sincerely for those of you who prayed.

Shirley's first-floor apartment was completely cleared Saturday evening

Now, it will undergo inspection, cleaning and redecoration
and we will see a fresh new 50's and older 'moving-in'
within just a couple of weeks

The 'space' we leave-behind, is quickly re-filled
The funeral, is on Tuesday

Giving thanks that Madden's health has improved and praying that it will continue to do so, Tom. Praising the Lord that the rest of the family have not caught the flu and praying for continued protection.

with no other family of her own, I believe
We, Shirley and I weren't that close

She once told me, that men with beards freak her out

LOL, she quickly called me on the phone
~when her 5 USA became off-tuned, due to transmitter frequencies being-reassigned
Was when she told me, she had decided to take the 'place'
at St. Anne's Hospice

I go to my pain management doctor on the 27th of this month for shots in my back. They did wonders before, and I'm praying they make me feel better for our trip to Nashville next month. I would sincerely appreciate your prayers. It's done in the hospital and I go home the same day if everything goes good.
