Glad to hear that phone call went well, reborn. I have a prayer request. The charity shop where I was volunteering pre-covid is hoping to reopen and the manageress messaged me to see what I thought about rejoining them, bearing in mind my husband having had a stroke in the meantime. I would love to go back with them as I really enjoyed my one morning a week volunteering there, but my circumstances have changed such a lot. I'd appreciate prayer for clear guidance. The shop supports ministries in Mozambique and reaches out to our town here.

Many thanks, reborn. I told my sister about it and she was all for the idea, knowing how much I had loved volunteering in the shop and how good it would be for me to get out of the house and be with people outside of family. So, with that clear encouragement, I told the manageress I would go back when the shop reopens and she was delighted, reassuring me that the management team would work with me and what suits me best. She said, even if I could only work for one hour a week, it would be a blessing to have me.

I have a prayer request. Where I live several houses surround a courtyard, and we socialise together quite a bit. I'm not aware of any of my neighbours being Christians, but I've talked to a few about aspects of my faith, and also prayed with several of them about their concerns. I've not led any to the Lord, but I trust that He is working in their lives.

My next door neighbour is moving out soon and my prayer request is that whoever moves in will be someone who is either a Christian or is open to hearing about it. What I don't want is a person/people who are against Christianity and will influence my other neighbours against it. Please would you pray that the person the Lord wants will come to live there and be a positive influence in the community. Would you also pray for my neighbour who is moving out. I feel that the Lord is in this move somewhere. Please would you pray that she and her family come to know Him.

Thank you Reborn. Yes, the manageress and everyone else on the team care very much for each volunteer and our needs are included in the prayers for the shop. The shop will be reopening this coming Monday and is looking well for the occasion. Everyone is very excited and looking forward to seeing the shop open again. I will be going on Monday morning for an hour or two.

Please would you pray for my friend David who has several changes in his life at the moment. He is not a Christian, but has let me pray with him and I've prayed that God will reveal Himself to him. Please would you pray for his salvation and direction in life, which includes where he will live as it's almost certain that he will have to move. Things would be much easier if he could stay where he is (and I would love it as he's a neighbour) but it might not be the best thing for him. Please would you also pray for protection, physically and spiritually, for him. Many thanks.

I will be having a meal with David later today (Saturday). I feel very emotional about it as he is likely to move and I will miss him. If anyone sees this in time please would you pray for the evening. For me to be guided by the Lord and to say the right things about Him if we discuss spiritual things and for David to want to know the Lord and also to make the right decisions in his life. I'm a bit worried that he is being influenced by unhelpful philosophies at the moment. Thank you.

Thank you Gillian. Yes, he has to move as it is a rented house and the owner needs to sell. He wanted to get a new job first though, which he has just done - praise God, so I think he is searching for property currently. He starts his new job on Monday. Please would you pray that everything goes well with him. He works in social care and is a very caring person.

I would appreciate your prayers for my husband, who was taken in to hospital last Friday, where he was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer, for which he is being treated. He has lost a lot of weight and is refusing food, so he is on IV fluids. There are a lot of things he can no longer manage for himself so a care package will need put in place before he can be discharged, but there also some other medical issues that need dealt with before that can be discussed. Family and friends have been wonderfully caring and supportive with prayers and practical help. Pray for our family as well as us.
