CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Reminds me of something I saw today while looking at a university. for some reason I've been seeing this on this campus in more than one place. I'm wondering what the tradition is?

I swam in an endurance swim. My very first official swim competition, 2.2 km. I am not a very athletic person but have been challenging myself to get out and exercise more. Entering competitions is my way of forcing myself to exercise in order to be ready for the competition. So far this has been the most difficult type of competition, it took me two and a half hours to swim 2.2km and I developed an allergic reaction to something in the water, so am currently dealing with that. But, it was worth getting out there and finishing something I never thought I could do.

Walking through the parking lot after making a return at a store I got in my car and I found this hitchhiker on my sports dress. I got out and said fly free little buddy. This is cicada.
