Fantastic.
I think you've made the best out of what you have, and what you have is a very artistic mind and creative skill. I would love to see any other photos you have that you wouldn't mind sharing and what you see them to be.
I was really impressed as I was looking at the photo seeing it kind of come to life in my mind.![]()
I really like photo 3. It's so serene looking.I enjoy photography. For me it is a good outlet for my creative side. I enjoy taking pictures of architecture, scenery, animals, etc. I am not big on taking pictures of people unless they are family and friends. I don't tend to keep photos on my laptop they are stored in an external hard drive but I do have a few so I thought I'd share what I had handy. (None of these photos have been edited.)

There are companies that will take a photograph and make a painting for you. I would check out examples of their work before signing up with one, though, because the quality of the painting may not be very good. Your dog looks very sweet and a little wistful here (puppy dog eyes).Okay to answer @Galatea question about my favorite photo I've taken would HAVE to be this one:

The ONLY thing I did to this photo was I enhanced the contrast a little so it was darker in the background and it enhanced the shadows on his face as well. I would also love this as a painting. I don't even know if that could be done though.
Like I love everything about it. I love the fact that I was able to get this shot.. I love the face he's making, the perfectly placed shadows, the green grass, everythinggg.

Ideal conditions for me. I feel at my most comfortable in the minuses.
Same. Honestly can't stand this heat we're getting. I did a 14 hour shift yesterday grafting in a warehouse that was around 36*C or higher most of the day, was awful.
How to be a photographer on Deviant Art:
Step 1: Take a picture of anything using a smart phone.
Step 2: Use a filter to make the picture black and white.
Step 3: Congrats! You are now an artist!
Also, what kind of photography did your stepfather do? Portraits? Nature?

This hardly classifies as photography but these are some cool pictures I toke when I went to the Ontario Science Centre a few years ago

(not a real preserved child in this photo, although I have seen a real preserved baby before. I refused to touch it lol)
Thanks for the kind words SC!
I got a few more but here's one for now:
This is actually a puddle of old motor oil that got spilled into a cardboard I laid on the ground while changing the oil of my car. I took a picture of the puddle under sunlight (or the flash of the camera, I don't remember exactly) and again re-colored the result... The original picture looked almost exactly the same only with a different color hue.
Those things that looked like stars are actually particles of metal from the wear and tear of the car engine present in the old motor oil. I thought it looked like a galaxy so I recolored it like one!

Another thing I did with a white cotton shirt. This time I tried to make it look like an ocean rogue wave.

The only very few real life subjects I took. My sister in the picture. My sister also does photography as a hobby.
