Everything cannot be explained through a strictly Christian view as it is presented today. That is unless we adopt the stick our heads in the sand technique of dubbing everything that doesn't line up with what we believe as being demonic or satanic.Wow! Good question, I think that I normally think of demonic as being malicious. So I would say that when I said it did not appear to be demonic it would better convey my thought to have said it did not appear to be malicious.
However, then how do I explain this ‘presence’ it was a spirit of some sort that was able to interact with this world and it was conscious of what was going on in this time. In other words it wasn’t a replay imprint of the past. As I said I have never been able to reconcile this experience from what I have learned of the spiritual world. The Bible including what most people refer to as the Old Testament although I call The Tanach and The Chumash are the bases of my faith, I have studied many spiritual beliefs including Hebrew Kabbalah. No where have I found anything that explains this from a Christian perspective, in that human spirits should not somehow be trapped in this world.
I have a Mentor who actually performs exorcisms in Europe. He has told me that much of what occurs and is branded as paranormal is actually the result of activity within the human psyche, created through intense emotional trauma or stress, fear also plays a significant role. He suggests a study in the subject of parapsychology. This is interesting due to the fact that many in Deliverance Ministry say that trauma and emotional distress can "trigger" demonic activity. Or "open a door" that welcomes demonic influence.
Rather, perhaps these trauma trigger abilities latent within each of us. The results being unpleasant because people generally don't know how to harness or control them to use them effectively and beneficently and the church can't teach them how.
