Best place to start is the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. They try to establish the most healthy diet for us. Is the problem that you do not know how to eat properly or is the problem that you know what and how you should eat but you do not want to follow Godly eating habits. IT MUST be a sin because there is a lot of punishment, obese is a punishment, exp when you consider all the health problems caused by not eating the right food and the right diet and the right amount or servings. Of course you can eat all the veggies you want to eat. You actually lost a small about of weight when you eat veggies. It takes around 800 calories to digest 600 calories worth of veggies. So eat all of them that you want. Of course you have to exercise also.I need help in overcoming gluttony. I am obese and right now, I am trying to lose weight, but I need help in overcoming this issue. How big a sin is gluttony and can it be overcome? Is gluttony a big sin, or are all sins big sins? I guess this question is kind of like a question about lying, where some tell little white lies or big black lies. Lies are lies whatever color they are. Is it the same with gluttony? Can gluttony make one less of a Christian since I want to lose weight? I believe that because I want to lose weight He convicted me of gluttony, but it is hard to overcome. Is gluttony really about ethics or morality since this is supposed to go under ethics and morality? How should gluttons fat or thin be treated and should fat gluttons be viewed or treated any different than thin gluttons?
The choice is to eat right and exercise or get obese and be sick. Then sometimes we can repent on our death bed and God will then revive us and heal us if we start to eat right and exercise. Heart Attack is called the silent killer though and there really is no warning. Even though there is no warning most Heart Attacks is due to fat deposits building up in the blood vessels from eating a high fat diet. For me I can give up eating fatty food a lot easier then I can give up eating sugar. For some foods it takes 10 days for your body to adjust. If you want to give up your sugar binges eat more fiber. Other food adjustments can be accomplished right away or in 5 days.
To many people struggle to control their portions without actually changing their diet and eating right. I do not know of any processed food that is good for you. We do all of our own cooking here. My wife does not even use seasoning in a bottle but she uses fresh herbs and spices like ginger and garlic and stuff like that. Mostly I eat a lot of soup because I just do not like to eat veggies so I have to cook them a lot before I can eat them. Some of the nutrition is lost when you over cook food but there is still enough left that they do not worry to much about food being over cooked. Cooked food in general is quite a bit better for you the uncooked food. They also recommend low fat or skin yogurt because we need calcium and to get our mineral natural in our food is a lot better then to take supplements. I have a problem in that I am on a very salt restricted diet and a lot of food is either low fat or law salt. You can not get both. For example I can get low fat cheese or low salt cheese but I can not get both.
