If I kept practicing evil, you have a point. But your point is a big blank.

James 2:10 ….
"For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."

Well, well, well, again, you have added something which Jesus did not tell us. Where do you find Jesus speaking about substitutionary atonement?

It is indeed sad for me to see someone as intelligent as you be so deceived as to make such a comment.

Who was it that killed the animals in Genesis 4 to cover the sin of Adam and Eve shedding the blood of innocent animals for mans sin??? JESUS!!! That was Substitionary Atonement my
friend.

Who was it that told Cain and Abel the correct sacrifice to bring to the worship service ?JESUS.

Who was it that told Moses about placing the blood of a perfect lamb over the door post thus promoting the 1st "Passover"? JESUS. The shed blood of the lamb saved the 1st born. That was Substitutionary Atonement.

Substitutionary Atonement is as Old as Creation and JESUS is the Creator of all things.

I've never said faith wasn't needed. It's faith and works of charity, which are included in Jesus' commandments.

Ephesians 2:8...….
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

Nine Scriptures out of more than 100 that say WORKS DO NOT SAVE...…………………….
1.) Rom. 4:6-7 - God imputes "Righteousness without works."
2). Rom. 10:3 - It's a grave mistake for anyone to try to, "Establish their own righteousness."
4. Rom. 5:17 - Heaven deserving righteousness is a "GIFT," not something you earn.
5. Rom. 5:18 - Justification to God is a "FREE GIFT," not something you work toward.
6. Phil. 3:9 - Paul, as ‘good’ as he was, still wouldn't trust his "Own righteousness" to save him.
7. Rom. 3:22 - God's righteousness is credited to "ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE," not all that work.
8. Rom. 8:3-4 - The flesh is too "Weak" to save itself. We need a Saviour. We need Christ.
9. Rom. 4:3 - Abraham's faith, not works, "Was counted unto him for righteousness."
10. Rom. 4:4-5 - Works are "Not reckoned of grace, but of debt."
11. Gal. 3:10 - To earn Heaven you'd have to "Continueth," perfectly, in the whole law.
12. Titus 3:5 - "NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost."

Just as a suggestion. Why not spend more time reading the Bible instead of posting mistakes and false doctrines on web sites?

Was Jesus the Perfect, 100% sinless Son of God?

Did He die for the sins of the world?

John 3:16 ……………..
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

1 Peter 1:3 …………..
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead".

JESUS IS God's standard of perfection and getting to heaven is a problem of ACCESS!

God is PERFECT. He lives in a PERFECT Heaven. His Son is PERFECT.

How then does a sinful man, depraved get into to heaven when he is not perfect in anyway. He has to be CHANGED from corruption to incorruption.

1 Corinthians 15:52-54...…….
"In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality".

That is the moment we will be glorified and made PERFECT just like Jesus and will be allowed into heaven. NOT BY WORKS but through FAITH in the Creator and Messiah....Jesus Christ.

Read the book my friend.

Do you really believe that this is a proper Christian way to talk to others???

Are you displaying Christianity?

Matthew 7:20...……
"So then, you will know them by their fruits,".

Not all living and dying referred to in the OT is in regard to eternal life or the second death. The Law was never given to save eternally. It was added because of transgressions 430 after the promise/the Gospel was given to Abraham.

Did you not read the passages I gave about God being the Savior in the Old Testament? He also said there is no savior besides Him.

I never said otherwise. This has always been my point, Scripture is clear, there is ONE Saviour.

Is a person justified by obeying Jesus? We'll see what comes out your mouth.

Or we won't. I'm not going to bother responding to posts designed to goad. If you want to have a respectful conversation, I am more than willing, but I am not interested in playing games.

A person is justified through a living faith in Jesus, which will result in obedience.

However the doctrine of the Bible tells us that we are not saved through the obedience that is always attached to a living faith, but by the living faith itself, alone.

I actually think it's wonderful that the first clear account we have of salvation, recorded in Scripture, is that of the thief on the cross. Many like to say God made an exception for him because he was unable to do any good works after salvation, but we know that God is no respecter of persons. Salvation is the same for everyone. The thief on the cross did nothing to earn or deserve being saved, and neither can we. And no one can argue that this thief did do anything, because he was on a cross, dying, unable to come down to serve the Lord.

We would all do well to think on that.

I think I explained this last night but can't remember.

1 Corinthians 3:6-15
6I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 7So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.8Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

10According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. 11For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to berevealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work.14If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.15If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

The above is speaking about teachers. Are not those who teach new Christians, teachers?

In verse 2 Paul tells the Corinthians that he fed them spiritual milk because they are not ready for solid food. Does this not refer to Paul teaching the Cor. about being Christians since this was a new way for them?

Then he goes on to say how we each have our "job" to do...
One plants, one waters...

verse 8 says each laborer will receive his own reward.

Paul and the others are the workers (by teaching) and the Corint. are the field. verse 9

Paul laid a foundation,,,which is Christ.

Those who build on the foundation with gold and silver and stones...his work will be evident. verse 12

Those who build on the foundation with wood, hay and straw...his work will be evident. verse 12

verse 13: Each man's work will become evident for it is to be revealed with fire.

Those that work are the teachers...
The work is the teaching to the Corinthians and how well it is done.

The fire in verse 13 is referring to Jesus.

And? I don't see how that negates the point that we do nothing to earn eternal life.

YES!

READ THE BOOK!

Romans 5:1...……..
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ".

This just isn't that hard.

I wasn't trying to negate that point. I was merely backing up my statement that a living faith will always produce obedience.
