Actually, Nehi's birthday is November 11th. It says so right on his profile. ;)

Oh great, now he'll want me to buy him a present this November.

What do you get a sock who has everything?

One day God said, "This is what I will do:
I'll send down my son. I'll send him to you
To clear up this humpity bumpity hullaballoo.
His name will be the Christ and he'll never wear shoes.
His pals will all call him 'The King of the Jews.'"

He didn't come in a plane.
He didn't come in a Jeep.
He didn't come in a pouch
Of a high jumping Voveep.

He rode to Jerusalem -- home of the grumpity Jews
Where false prophets were worshiped -- some even in twos.
There was Murray VonMyrrh and Ghengis Vovooz --
The one you could worship by taking a snooze.

Christ spoke from a mound
Which is a pile of ground.
People gathered around
Without making a sound.

Thus he spake:

"Do unto others as they do unto you.
That includes you, young Timothy Foo."

One pharisee said to another he knew,
"What shall we do with this uppity Jew?"
"Let's wash him in wine and make him all clean
And into Sam Zittle's crucifiction machine."

Twirl the Gawhirl
And release the Galeese
And in go the nails
As fast as you please.

And it is said
That he said as he bled,
"Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.
For they walk throughout life making don'ts into do."

Do you?

I don't either. I thought I had missed something somewhere since I hadn't been around here for a while. I share your confusion and await enlightenment!

Jenda: What a wonderful idea for a thread. But it almost seems like an exclusive club. :) Do you accept members who don't have daughters? I have three sons, and I am truly thankful every day that I don't have a daughter. God knew EXACTLY what He was doing when He answered my ardent prayer for a girl with a resounding NO! I'm just not sure I'm cut out for raising a daughter. I can still remember how awful it was to BE a teenage girl. My mother was (is) the Wicked Witch of the West. So many rules, regulations and restrictions. I was the perfect child...because I had no choice. It was be perfect or be persecuted. My mother had (has) a wonderful way of making me feel that I'll never be good enough. Good enough for what...I don't know. So, I think the memories of my teenage years would make raising a daughter VERY tough. I admire those of you who are doing it. And doing it well, regardless of how it might look this very minute.

Jewels here again. I am a very educated, quite brite woman, yet these web site forums confuse the dickens out of me. I posted earlier thinking this site had just been started. Am I wrong or do some of the forums have the most recent posts first? This one has them last...so as usual...I'm way behind everyone else. Anyway, Jenda, I still think this was a good idea.

Hi, Jewels!

This thread is for anyone and everyone, and I hope it becomes a favorite. (So far, it is only doing so-so.)

I wanted daughters, and that is what I got. (I can't imagine having to raise a boy. They are like aliens to me. )

I believe that most of the forums start with the oldest posts and progress to the newest ones. There are just a couple of areas that are different, like the journal forum and one's guestbook. (If there are any others that progress backwards, someone can let us know.)

Your mother sounds a lot like my father. :help:

Welcome! Jump into anything that looks interesting. :)
