Subject: MY ATTORNEY

MY ATTORNEY

After living what I felt was a "decent" life, my time on earth came to the
end. The first thing I remember is sitting on a bench in the waiting room of
what I thought to be a courthouse. The doors opened and I was instructed to
come in and have a seat by the defense table.
As I looked around I saw the "prosecutor." He was a villainous looking gent
who snarled as he stared at me. He definitely was the most evil person I
have ever seen. I sat down and looked to my left and there sat My Attorney,
a kind and gentle looking man whose appearance seemed so familiar to me, I
felt I knew Him.
The corner door flew open and there appeared the Judge in full flowing
robes. He commanded an awesome presence as He moved across the room. I
couldn't take my eyes off of Him. As He took His seat behind the bench, He
said, "Let us begin."
The prosecutor rose and said, "My name is Satan and I am here to show you
why this man belongs in hell." He proceeded to tell of lies I told, things I
stole, and in the past when I cheated others. Satan told of other horrible
perversions once in my life and the more he spoke, the further down in my
seat I sank. I was so embarrassed, I couldn't look at anyone, even my own
Attorney, as the Devil told of sins even I completely forgotten about. As
upset as I was at Satan for telling all these things about me, I was equally
upset at My Attorney who sat there silently not offering any form of defense
at all. I know I was guilty of those things, but I did some good in my
life - couldn't that at least equal out part of the harm I'd done?
Satan finished with a fury and said, "This man belongs in hell, he is guilty
of all I have charged and there is not a person who can prove otherwise."
When it was His turn, My Attorney first asked if He might approach the
bench. The Judge allowed this over the strong objection of Satan, and
beckoned Him to come forward. As He got up and started walking, I was able
to see Him in His full splendor and majesty. I realized why He seemed so
familiar; this was Jesus representing me, my Lord and my Savior.
He stopped at the bench and softly said to the Judge, "Hi, Dad," then He
turned to address the court. "Satan was correct in saying this man sinned, I
won't deny any of these allegations. And, yes, the wage of sin is death, and
this man deserves to be punished."
Jesus took a deep breath and turned to His Father with outstretched arms and
proclaimed, "However, I died on the cross so this person might have eternal
life and he accepted Me as his Savior, so he is Mine."
My Lord continued with, "His name is written in the Book of Life and no one
can snatch him from Me. Satan still does not understand yet. This man is not
to be given justice, but rather mercy."
As Jesus sat down, He quietly paused, looked at His Father and said,"There
is nothing else that needs to be done. I've done it all."
The Judge lifted His mighty hand and slammed the gavel down. The
following words bellowed from His lips... "This man is free The penalty
for him was already paid in full. Case dismissed"
As my Lord led me away, I could hear Satan ranting and raving, "I won't give
up, I will win the next one."
I asked Jesus as He gave me my instructions where to go next, "Have you ever
lost a case?" Christ lovingly smiled and said, "Everyone that comes to Me
and asked Me to represent them, received the same verdict as you, "PAID IN
FULL."

In me are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2.3

I tried to get my daughter to watch a Dr. Who show on Saturday nite. She's aware how cheesy they are. I told her about K-9. How he's got these radar-like ears that swivel and a nose that shoot out laser beams.....and all the while she's smirking at me, and staring right at me, like I'm weird or somethin....

Then she says real deadpan, "Oh, and what are is ears made of..................................popcans?

I have a great poster hanging at the top of my stairs (my husband would like to burn it), it is a picture of a plunger and it says "Find Out How It Conquered The Galaxy". It is from the original "Behind the Sofa" (Dr. Who) museum exhibit in London back in the late 80's. It has a bit of a story behind it. :D

May I post my favorite blond joke.....since I have a 21 yr old daughter who is a blond.

One morning, a blonde called her boyfriend and said, "Please come over and help me. I have this awesome jigsaw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to start it."

Her boyfriend asked, "What is it a puzzle of?" The blonde said, "From the picture on the box, it's a tiger."

The blonde's boyfriend figures that he's pretty good at puzzles, so he heads over to her place. She lets him in the door and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table.

He studies the pieces for a moment, then he studies the box. He then turns to her and says, "First, no matter what I do, I'm not going to be able to show you how to assemble these pieces to look like the picture of that tiger."

"Second, I'd advise you to relax, have a cup of coffee, and put all the Frosted Flakes back in the box."

BWAHAHAHAHA!

I love that joke. I also have a 23 yr old daughter who is darkheaded. She's getting ready to enter the FBI academy in January. The blond is a professional photographer.

I have enjoyed this forum. It's the first time I've ever participated on an internet BB.
Thanks
Echo

One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the
country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be
considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the
trip?"

"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.

"Oh yes," said the son.

"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered: "I saw that we

have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a
river that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go
beyond our sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to
protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder ..........ours or God's.

It was His beloved Son.....

I broke down and drug out my home recordings (having exhausted my store-bought ones)(I must have 30-40 shows taped), and I couldn't watch one because there doesn't seem to be a tracking control on my VCR.

Yeah, that is about what I figured it to be. It has to be at least 90 F to go to the beach (95 wold be better. ;) )

Ahh well, I let you know how good the beach is next week during our annual family holiday to Noosa! In fact, we will be staying here in a three-bedroom townhouse.

Ahhh, a week of relaxation on the beach. Bushwalking through the national park. Four-wheel driving up to Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island. Sailing up the Noosa river. Lobster and crab for dinner.

It's a tough life, but somebody's gotta do it!

If I recall your last family vacation, you were online half the time. Got any different plans this time around?

By a veto from the 'upper house' :) there will be no computers brought on this holiday.

The kids, however, can bring the PS/2 - and Singstar! ^_^

That reminds me, I have to get the house clean before my wife gets back on Wednesday. Some parts of it have reached level four (five is bio-hazard). She's happy if I can keep it at level two. Personally, I can't tell the difference between level one and two, but when she gets home she always says I've done a wonderful job with the house, and then immediately starts cleaning...

I hired two cleaners for 1.5 hours. They brought the house up from level 2 to level 1 by doing all those things I never think of. It cost me $50, but it was worth it.

They were so good, I booked them again for this Thursday.
