Well my fear is sort of weird like I'll feel myself seeming to accept the doubts then be scared that I'm "accepting" them.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Yes, I can know 100% it's the OCD. God has dealt with me many times in my life over certain things, and he didn't do it by causing me to doubt him or confusing me. God is all powerful, he doesn't need smoke and mirrors or fear tactics to get his message across. These fears and doubts are 180 degrees opposed to what God would have you feel.Yes but u can't know 100 percent for sure your ocd is causing you to doubt.
Ok well think about the thief on the crosses situation he was saved within his dying moments so think about his situation really close. He was obviously a nonbeliever most of his life so when he was saved within moments of his death I don't really think he would be sure of anything except that he wanted God to save him. He probably wasn't even sure a god exsisted in his dying moments because he probably didn't give it too much thought. But Jesus himself said he was saved. Some of the greatest Christian figures in the world doubted and they were saved. Raven1 you are clinging to your faith right now you want it so bad as do I so God isn't going to hold doubt against you especially since you can't control it! I mean God wants you and you want him he won't hold your doubt against you because you want him!
I appreciate although I don't believe it ex specially since I feel adoration type feelings for athiest.
I don't understand this. I swear it has to be worse than having split personality at least they are dissociating.
Not everyone who doubts has OCD. Most lost people doubt because they don't care, or they love their sinful ways. Or they've never really had anybody share the gospel with them. Some people who are saved doubt their salvation, usually because of sin in their lives, and they don't have OCD. Those people just need to study the word of God to understand their relationship with God and the security of it. Then there is the OCD Christian who is just consumed with their doubts and are bombarded with excessive and intrusive thoughts. They will talk to anyone who will listen and search and search the scriptures, still not finding peace. They are at the point where this is the focus of their life (sound like anyone you know?). That is how you know if it's OCD or not.My biggest fear is that it isn't though. There are several people at my work that doubt who can we know has ocd and doesn't.
