OCD is destroying my faith... HELP!

Christian catholic that is exactly why I don't understand how doubting God exists is caused by OCD. How is it imagination or fear making us doubt God aka being illogical. I have never seen God.

I have another problem too I feel like I have to be PERFECT and can't do anything wrong or I'm not a Christian it really bothers me because nobodies perfect and it's hard not to give in to some temptations.

Dear friend,
please don't doubt God. He is there with you! I have OCD and had doubts. I wanted to go on missions but my OCD of wanting a perfect, clean environment used to cause a block, and made me feel like I was not in His will. I prayed and prayed, struggled, and asked Him to guide me to the way of healing. I had tried everything at this point. Aroma therapy, cognitive therapy etc. I'm even in Celebrate Recovery but is was hard to find others to relate to. He finally guided me to a specialist. I prayed I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I took my accountability partner with me. It was good cuz when fear set in I didn't hear much at the interview. I cried and said I can't do this! He finally said just walk through the door. So that's what I did. Then I established a prayer team, The director set me up with an intern so my expense wasn't outrageous and little by little, I started to get better. You know that show, Hoarders? The director is the main consultant on that show! Wow He led me to the best of the best! I trusted Him, as scared as I was, and left it in His hands and He proved faithful. Sometimes I have to work really hard and other aspects He's just delivered me from. This fearful experience has strengthened my faith. He is alive! There is no way I could have done this on my own. Cuz I was and it wasn't working, but when I asked Him in, amazing things happened.

Thanks but also I think I'm not saved because I'm no where near perfect or at least decent like my Christian friends are I mean they seem so squeaky clean and good and here I am cussing and lying and doing other wrong things and I think how can I be a Christian when I do all these things...

Worriedone you are more blessed then u can ever imagine. Just by your words you have humbled yourself before God. HE LOVESSS THIS THE MOST.

Remember when the sinnless man and the tax collector went into the temple to pray? The Tax collectors prayer was exhaulted by The lord and that was because he came to Christ with an open heart. You are that exhaulted one now bro

Worried one and Raven, remember this Our faith is not dependent on our feelings. God knows our hearts and our intentions and also knows our disorder. This is the main thing and thats how I KNOW YOU BOTH ARE SAVED

Worriedone, God knows your will and desire. He knows your not an atheist just as I know you arent one. Believe me I know exactly your feeling because I feel that way too alot of time. I also know that to OCD, my will and my feelings dont matter. All that matters to OCD is that it tries to make my worst nightmare into areality and that it keeps us in this vicious cycle. Thats how OCD survives.

You and Raven are not only saved but you are Gods special ones. He has great plans for you both

Thank you today and last night were horrible im gundi ding it hard to believe anything anymore I get thoughts saying God's nonexistent just live your life nothing happens when you die and I feel like I'm giving in and taking them as truth help! I think I'm going Atheist!
