LOL, we definitely could have used some notice! I'll help as much as I can, but this is a busy week. Also, the thread is already 7 pages long, and (sorry if this seems rude) but a lot of people who have little idea what they're talking about have already jumped in and made it muddy. It's already pretty much a free-for-all.

I intend to eventually but sometimes you just hear these outlandish claims that the other teenagers in there are listening to and you feel compelled to say "Prove it!". This has become a breeding ground for mass confusion. Why do you think so many of the atheists there are so young? I think peer pressure is rampant at that age and if someone doesn't try to show them for what they are (Liars!) then even more kids will jump on the band wagon. As a mother with teenagers, I do not like to see this happening. These false claims about God and the bible need to be addressed. I could just say "I can't deal with this" but then who would?

I'm reading this book; God: The Evidence, and it talks about the masterful craftsmanship of the Universe and its precise aim for life on Earth.

It talks about spirituality and the psychological and its effect on religion. Is it an illusion? Scientists have experimented on people who have hallucinated; and also had near death experiences. People's hearts have stopped and they seem to have breath-taking stories.

If you do get weak in your faith, Christy; read that book.

Just know that it was God who knows every single particle in the Universe, who has crafted and designed every leaf on a tree, and every planet in a galaxy.

God: The Evidence, I recommend it to all; not very long, easy to read; very fun!

These people are into trickery. They try to use our bible against us. One person just made the claim that if we had not "massaged" certain verses, we "Christians" would have no foundation. I told him I will be waiting for him to cite this ridiculous claim.

It occurs to me that we are on the verge of gossip (if not already over the cliff). I, too, get frustrated with their behavior, but some of them may be reading what we type about them; I wonder whether it helps them feel loved. They are being deceived by the real enemy.

Like most threads in the GA forum, that one degenerated very quickly. There aren't too many people actually focusing on the topic, but instead they just post useless messages that don't benefit anyone.
