Anyone else take vitamins and supplements?

2 years ago I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. My vitamin D levels were low and I was not eating a healthy diet.
Part of my prescription is Vit D and the other is a DMT.

Fast forward about 1 year later, after I made changes to my diet and adopted a healthy, strict one. No processed food, added sugar/salt, I cut off dairy foods and red meat, and added regular exercise.

The vitamins I have been taking ever since this change (other than vit D):
- Lions Mane
- Cordyceps
- Flax seed oil
- Krill oil
- collagen
- MK -7 (for vit D absorption)

Honestly I have never felt better, despite the disease.

Yes, it seems a lot of people are deficient in Vit D. I take similar supplements, but one I've started lately is Berberine because I'm diabetic. I also told my kids about it because of genetics. Have you tried fasting?

You know, I knew I was forgetting something! Yes, I learned about intermittent fasting and still do that to this day.

I realized I was in the millennial section. Sorry for posting, but I also told my millennials about IF. They should only do it 2 or 3 times a week because it can slow metabolism if done daily.

Oh, I just assumed if you can post that the system automatically allows you to, if you meet the requirements. For example, I'm married so I can't post in the Singles section, just view it.

Yes, I can see how it would slow down metabolism and it is working for my condition.

I think if anyone were to do this, do so carefully. I started with 12 hours of intermittent fasting then gradually moved up to 16. I have since moved back down to 12, after losing weight down to something manageable.

I had to carefully experiment due to finances. Otherwise I would have done so with a Nutritionist or dietitian.
It's a balancing act!

Praise God! May I ask how you were exposed to all this info? I started looking to get healthy during Covid, YouTube opened up a new world.

Absolutely!
First be very careful what you hear (yes, even quoting Jesus) because there are many frauds. I listened and read from doctors who really want to help people. I have bought books according to my condition from these trusted doctors. Discernment from God is key when looking into anything like this. Allow Him to guide you through this adventure since He knows best the human heart.

I began looking into the gut since many are saying it's like a second brain. It's that important to good health.

I "fought" my way through exercise. I wanted a more controlled equilibrium, so I did balance exercises for a few months. (Again, according to my condition)
Then strength training and then cardio. All this is now in my routine.

This is all part of my research from diagnosis (2 years ago) to now and I'm still learning what my body likes and dislikes or just cannot do (limitations).
