Hey, Skaat! That's so neat! Amherst is just a few minutes from me. Never been to Belchertown? It used to be a rural community...lots of farms, etc. Now it's grown to a pretty big residential community. It's very nice here. I like it. I work on the UMass campus during the school year. do you ever go there? I'm at the Atkins Flower shop at the Campus Center part time. We are closed when the students are on summer break, but in a few weeks, we'll be back! I'm there 2 days a week. and I also work for a florist in Ware, a town a little ways from Amherst. Where do you go to church?

Life's not that bad, I'm living in a college town so things are a bit more happenin' in general. I will admit though, sometimes I wish I lived in Boston or New York 'cause at times nothing really happens around here.Wolflily said:You guys are deep in the wilderness over there

Yeah, I know quite a few folks that live in belchertown and commute to amherst. I'm going to be a sophomore at UMASS actually, I know which flower shop you're talking about. I've never actually gotten anything there, but I definately see it all the time. I'm going to a church called MercyHouse right now. It's sort of like a college church, with most of the people who attend being college students. It's a relatively new church plant, they've been around for about 4 years now, but it's a pretty thriving church, god's been doing a lot of amazing stuff through MercyHouse. I've seen the table they have set up at the Campus Center for Mercy House. I never had the time to go and check it out. So it's a church! Neat! I go to a church in south hadley. It used to be in Belchertown but we bought a building out in S Hadley . Christ Life Fellowship. We have a web site...christlifefellowship.org. I've been there for many years. We have lots of college age young people! Well, a few anyways. they are on fire for God. Great kids! I'll have to check out the information table they set up sometime! School will be starting up soon! I won't be there until the second week of school cause I'm going on my vacation that first week but YOu'll have to stop in and say hello sometime! I'm there on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Well, I'm right on the border of Maine and about an hour and a half from Boston, so I'm not exactly stranded from all things fun and exciting! I like it here - lots of forest, mountains, lakes, the beach close by and I can head into Portsmouth or Newburyport for a little shopping or Portland or Boston for a little more city life. It's all good!!

hey ruhama, welcome to the new england forums! I think there are a couple students on these forums, I myself included. I'm going to UMASS amherst currently, that's somewhat close to S. Hadley. What's it like in idaho right now?

It's hot. And sunny. And more sunny. I really miss the rain. Idaho's a nice state otherwise Good scenery, once you get to the forested bits (otherwise it's very dry). People are friendly, laid back straightforward types with not so much of a chip on their collective shoulder. And my husband being a native northwester is SOOOOO much more relaxed here. You wouldn't believe how stressed out he got living in Boston.
Guess it takes one raised in NE to be comfortable there...

Yep, all is well with me. Great actually. Besides the fact that I'm having a hard time finding a job. I'm living at home now where I belong (at my brothers). I've been visiting with my parents throughout the weeks and patching my relationship up with them. I'm only living a mile away from home, so it dosn't take much to get to mom and dads.
I've been patching up old friendships and making new ones. I've met a great guy, he's one of my brothers friends and my brother is having a hard time letting go of me. He's been very protective of me since I moved in with him.
But, he's slowly learning to let go and let me grow up, while I'm doing my best to respect my brother and his wishes, yet trying to be myself as well.Everything is going great though. I'm having such a great time living at my brothers. It's like a 2nd chance to get to know him better and have a better relationship with him. When I was in my previous relationship with my ex, I never really got a chance to spend time with my family, so this is where I'm picking things up.
So, that's quite the update on me. How is everyone else doing?
