NaNoWriMo?

Well, I tried. I got about 13000 words into my novel. Procrastination and other stories, plus a lakiluster character bunch are the culpirts.

I made it to 25,250 words. I'm proud of myself, especially for a first try. I think I could've rounded it off to 30k, but I went to visit family the last week-ish of November, so no time.

Like nano is about having time to write.

I'm already excited for next year, because I now know that it's possible for me to do it!!



Congrats to all who passed the 50k mark!!! Mad kudos all around!!

VERY true. I think no matter how much you did, everybody who tried nano learned something.

Cat, I'm reading those Don Camillo books your recommended aeons ago. They're lovely.

I reactivated my account on the NaNo site. Gotta come up with an idea for a story, now. I've got some stuff I've been kicking around, but it's all kind of dark, and I don't think it'd be a great idea to spend hours daily for a month at it. I need something fluffy!

The year I was successful at NaNo, I was writing off of an idiot idea I came up with during a drunken conversation with a friend on Oct. 31, so I'm thinkin' that's the way to go again this year

I have started sketching out characters but that's only because last years characters got out of control and turned into murderers and I'm determined that won't happen this year, although son2 is betting it will. Most of mine started over a late night conversation too in Lourdes on November 1st, didn't start writing till the second....

I've thought about it a couple of times since last November, then I realized the other day that there's only a month left before it starts Eep!!

I have no characters, no plot...and I'm moving to a different state at the end of October. Yep, we'll see how this comes out. Hehehe...good times all around.

At the moment, I'm thinking "sequel" using some of the same characters from last year's novel and continuing the adventures. But, I'm not sure I've got another 50K to write about these folks and their environs, so I'm rummaging around in the back of my brain for other story ideas.

I'm definitely doing it. I've done quite a lot of planning and I can't wait for November.

I'm jealous of everybody who gets to do Nano this year! I haven't got time because of my current WIP but my friends are gearing up for and it looks like so much fun.
