Scripture clearly teaches that our body is a dwelling. Like a tent.

We "possess" our body. Like demons possess people, then can be "cast out"
That is the ancient heresy of gnosticism.

If that was so - why would it be so important that God resurrects our physical body at the end?

No it is not.
It is taking something scripture says and extending it to ridiculous extremes.

Flying? Glowing? Really?

Of course. Flesh (sarx) not only refers to the physical body but also to the fallen nature. When our physical body gets resurrected ("mortal flesh putting on immortality" - surely you have read that) we will be free from the influence and the presence of sin.

THAT is why we long to be clothed that way.

Flying glowing is conjecture, but a good one. Psalms says God is clothed in light, people who see Angels and stuff always say they glowed and can fly...
Genesis says we will surely die after eating from the tree of good and evil...but Adam lived 900 something years? So did God lie? Or did it mean spiritually? No longer did we walk and talk with God daily after the fall. We lost more than we realize.

Sarx..Uh, I believe that you're reaching there. God is not the author of confusion. Our flesh is NOT "us"

You want the scriptures or not?

Hi there!

Okay, so God creates apes in Genesis 1, all having the same DNA.

Then, when He creates man, He creates man with almost the same DNA, but a percentage (2%?) of it is different.

After all, His goal is to create man in His image & likeness.

Show how this is deceptive.
My understanding is that God became a part of His Creation for our redemption. I do not think His purpose was to make Creation so that He could become a part of it.

Phil 2 "6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men"

I don't know what else to call that, if not "deceptive".
In your opinion, when God took Adam's rib and made Eve, then ...

Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

... did He leave a scar?

If not, would Eve have been justified in not believing Adam, when he told her she came from his rib?

(Please answer this.)

Couple reasons I can think of. To stand as a man and give account of our life and behavior. Because corruption can not inherit glory. Because the judgement comes before the inheritance is given...

Why would they? They don't reproduce genetically while competing for limited resources.
Neither did some common ancestor to [eventually] produce Adam.

Adam wasn't born ... he was called into existence.

So, do you have to make extra effort to say such bizar and ignorant things, or does it come naturally to you?
Perhaps then you could tell us what plant we are closest to?

Poison ivy?

Yes av, it's a myth, and should be looked at as such.
Then why don't you do that. Because even if the story is not a true story about real people the story still has universal meaning and application to our lives. As Jungian psychology says a collectively inherited unconscious idea, pattern of thought, image, etc., universally present in individual psyches.

"Archetypal patterns affect every aspect of your life. From the way you look, the way you feel, the way you react to events, the people you attract into your life, the way you think, your value systems through to the events and milestones in your life." What is an Archetype? - archetypalenergy

If the story is a myth then that means you have more responsibility to adhere to the lesson the story is designed to teach you.

We are not apes Brothers and Sisters! Maybe some are lol but not me!
If you can find an honest evolutionist that doesn't mind telling you like it is, you can get him to admit that Jesus, our Redeemer who died on the Cross for us, was [is] an ape.

Jesus, if he existed at all, was a primate, just like you.

That's true, but He did it in a moment of time.
Not in a moment of time for God because He is outside of time. You can say the Bible is a literal 24 hour day but that is the most difficult to explain using science. It is a lot easier to say a day is 1,000 years because there is a lot more evidence to support that. For me the moment in time is when God was finished. He has been doing a work in me all my life from conception. Yet at the rapture in the twinkle of a eye His work will be finished. Just like Jesus said: "It is finished". He finished in a moment of time what He came here to do.

You are correct according to Neil Degrasse that a moment in time is required. IF you want to meet someone you have to have a time and a place. IF you do not have a time and a place you can not meet with them.

The advantage to this forum is people do not have to be here live at the same time. Our connection of time and place is made through the computer.
