You're right. I love it when girls are right.

We're still not apes though, their hair is just thicker and longer.

Humans are apes, look it up. Its not even debatable, its true by definition.

Good for you Brother. I'm not even human, I'm a Spirit-being temporarily living in a flesh house.

I'll be leaving soon, lol.

So why would you want to make an aquatic animal ...
Why would I want to? That is irrelevant since I was not the One who did it.

Wrong. that is unscriptural gnosticism. Read Genesis 2.7 again:

"the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground"

"Formed MAN," not "a housing for man."

What's a nihilist?

An ape who shaved? Lol.
Now, no offense brother. I'm only kidding. I get that way in the morning.

I really don't know what a nihilist is though.

I'm a value nihilst which roughly means that I deny the existance of metaphysics.

Now now...let's be careful here. We can't build a doctrine on one verse. It has to agree with the entirety of scripture.

One thing off the top o me head is, before He formed us in the womb...He knew us. So how is that possible unless we were there?!

Because we were there. As a spirit being...and even now, we are seated in heavenly places with Him...as a spirit being!

We were made in God's image and likeness... Well, God is a Spirit!

Come on man, this is basic stuff here.
You're having an identity crisis brother.

Absolutely. All of scripture supports the physical body being integral to who we are.
We were made in God's image and likeness... Well, God is a Spirit!
We are made in God's image. That includes a PHYSICAL image. We are described as body soul and spirit.

God is tri-une: Father Son and Spirit.
We are tri-une: body soul and spirit.

You take that back!

Lol. I am not man. I am a Spirit-being made of light, created by the Almighty God in His very image and likeness.

No identity crisis here. By the grace of God.

And our names were written in the book of life BEFORE the foundation of the world. Our Lord was crucified BEFORE the foundation of the world.

That is because God exists outside of time.

Agreed, and it does say that. It does not say, He thought about us. Says He knew us. So we were there.

I (conjecture) that we either chose to be born into our specific family or circumstance, or at least agreed to it.

Dave-W "Absolutely. All of scripture supports the physical body being integral to who we are."

Kinda sorta, but there are a few things in Scripture which hint to something a little more. We simply have our memory restrained here. God's plan is to do something with His greatest creation...on earth. We were already alive (Spirit beings) before being born in the flesh.
Even Paul says our body is a dwelling for our spirit.

Dave-W..."We are made in God's image. That includes a PHYSICAL image. We are described as body soul and spirit.

God is tri-une: Father Son and Spirit.
We are tri-une: body soul and spirit."/

First inclination is to sure, bi-ped agreed, however, God is a Spirit. It says so. So image may be a little deeper than us dumb men can yet comprehend!

I can drum up scriptures if you need me too. We will leave this flesh body Volkswagen behind brother and slip into an upgrade one day.

We are tri-une: body soul and spirit.

Not who we "are" but where we dwell. Paul says we earnestly desire to out off our flesh and be clothed with a new heavenly body. Surely you've read that?

Right now, on earth, we are body-soul-spirit. In Eden, before the fall, we were Spirit-soul-body. Our spirit had the preeminent position.

When we fell, our flesh became dominant and our spirit was pushed inside under subjection to the flesh. We "died" spiritually. We probably glowed in Eden before the fall. We were probably telepathic and could fly also.

Clothed in light like Psalms says. No need for a covering. But when our spirit got pushed inside, it revealed man's nakedness. So they made aprons from fig leaves. This is all scriptual Brother.

Let's pick this apart, shall we?

Then God did not make you:

Genesis 2.7a "the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground"

Come on Brother, that is absurd. Scripture clearly teaches that our body is a dwelling. Like a tent.

We "possess" our body. Like demons possess people, then can be "cast out"

You know of these scriptures, or no?
Shall I post them?

We have a flesh body, not because it is "us" but because God was doing something, had a plan for us and set up a "training school" on earth for us...and we needed a place to dwell while going to school.

This is all scriptural Brother.
No it is not.
It is taking something scripture says and extending it to ridiculous extremes.

Flying? Glowing? Really?
Paul says we earnestly desire to out off our flesh and be clothed with a new heavenly body. Surely you've read that?
Of course. Flesh (sarx) not only refers to the physical body but also to the fallen nature. When our physical body gets resurrected ("mortal flesh putting on immortality" - surely you have read that) we will be free from the influence and the presence of sin.

THAT is why we long to be clothed that way.
