I keep reading a few people mumble about him being a draft dodger on Facebook. But I've always heard the war wasn't our place. So maybe he has a point about that. Many despised him for his refusal to join the armed forces and his mistreatment of Joe Frazier.
Wow...then you aren't much of a Christian..people who insult a dead man because of a holier than thou complex have something wrong with them.

You asked a question and evidence...I gave it to you....obviously you have another agenda!Obviously, that was not the context of the question.....
I asked the question from a human POV, not biblical; if I was looking for a biblical POV I would not have posted the question here. If that is an angenda, so be it......You asked a question and evidence...I gave it to you....obviously you have another agenda!
Many atheists and agnostics, pagans and even some witches get on Christian forums. They are graciously welcomed and return that graciousness, too often, with verbal attacks on our faith. I suspect some of them are secretly curious about Christianity and will actually become Christian some day. I used to be a mocking, self avowed atheist, so know that is more than possible. I pray for those walking in darkness who think they are so full of truth. I'm sure others do too. Maybe that is why they are sent here.Well, I guess I'm just surprised to see this on a Christian forum.
Real truth is still truth and I thought this was a Christian Forum, not a human / secular forum!I asked the question from a human POV, not biblical; if I was looking for a biblical POV I would not have posted the question here. If that is an angenda, so be it......
Maybe see the post I left just before you left the one above.Real truth is still truth and I thought this was a Christian Forum, not a human / secular forum!
I'm fairly certain everyone here is human, though I could be wrong. However, while this is a Christian website, this part of the forums (the Discussion and Debate section) is open to people of all faiths, not just Christians. There are whole sections where people like me are not allowed to post because they are for Christians only.Real truth is still truth and I thought this was a Christian Forum, not a human / secular forum!
Good and well and I can agree but, if you have a secular question, I have no answer but a Christian one. I am not here to discuss secular aspects of humanism...I have none!I'm fairly certain everyone here is human, though I could be wrong. Nothing wrong with that. We are all here to offer up our own opinions and I try my best to value everyone's without looking to their stated faith. I think that tends to get in the way of meaningful discussion sometimes.Good and well and I can agree but, if you have a secular question, I have no answer but a Christian one. For the past week the press has lionized Ali as a great, wonderful, compassionate individual. Is that really true or is there another less tolerant and humanitarian side to him? We all know he was a great boxer but was his human side much less than than the media are proclaiming or is that an accurate portrayal. And please make sure you have some evidence to support your statements.

Sorry if I didn't understand what you were trying to say. As for a "sly pop" I prefer to be more direct. I believe I was. We are asked if M.A. was as great as people think he is. My response was a negative as he may well have led people away from the Savior of the world. How sad. How way not great.I take your point but I meant that I was surprised that this kind of thread (having a sly pop at a dead man- who obviously was not perfect; but who is?) was initiated by a Christian (instead of someone belonging to one of the groups you mentioned).
My apologies if I was not explaining myself well enough.
All the best.
Where did I take a "sly pop"?I take your point but I meant that I was surprised that this kind of thread (having a sly pop at a dead man- who obviously was not perfect; but who is?) was initiated by a Christian (instead of someone belonging to one of the groups you mentioned).
I didn't see it as a sly pop, personally.Where did I take a "sly pop"?
