But life in America isn't too fair for minorities, from being followed around in a store to being shot by the police with out a real cause. I think people think ,being able to " say what's on your mind" is a privilege...and it really isn't...its just supposed to be one of the amendments for being American...and I dont think its a privilege to be racist if that what's on your mind...

More white people have been killed by police than any other race. Including unarmed killings. Anybody could be followed around in a store. Media continues to push the race card and drive a wedge into race relations in america.

Hense when a little girl is killed by a stray bullet in Chicago, it widely goes unnoticed, but a white officer kills a black man, it is on the news and media for at least a week.

But here are a few double standards, the black panthers , a supposed hate group ( which really wasn't, it was just for the betterment of black people in a racially tense time) was shut down...while the KKK is still active

It surprises me that the KKK are still active, however a new black panther party is around, and BLM is still active though have shown the hate they carry.

The double standard is that in this country black people come up under so much un needed scrutiny where as our counterparts aren't. When we mess up or even make the slightest mistake, like not putting your hand over your heart, youre ripped in two and demonized.

It is not just people of color that are demonized. If you are patriotic to your country, you will be upset no matter who it is.

And one more comparison, when it comes to un just police shootings-- like philando castile's shooting...theres always more evidence needed ...but in recent news , with singer Chris Brown there was speculation that he pulled a gun on woman that was with him in his house, and she happened to be white, and not only was the event live streamed but they had choppers and helicopters at his home...and you dont know if this woman lies or not...they jumped the gun with no problem..

Milwakee riots, a black officer killed a black criminal after a car chase and foot chase then having a stolen gun pointed at him. Citizens jumped the gun and started going around attacking any and all white person they saw.

There is always more evidence needed, PERIOD. It does not matter who you are, all the evidence needs to be brought to the table before a full decision can be made.

There are pressures put on everybody, no matter your race. There are plenty of black only scholarships for college, HBCUs, affirmative action. Everybody has issues, everybody has the cards stacked against them.

Follow Martin Luther King Jrs. advice on how to judge people. Stop playing the "Whose side are you on?" game. Don't believe a news source simply because it is saying what you want to hear.

Honestly, this. Martin Luther King fought and actually protested to have people judged by the context of their character, not color of their skin.
Now? Movements such as BLM and KKK and other hate groups want to flip it back to where we are judged by the contents of our skin, and not our character.

Yes america has a bad history in terms of race relations, I do not think anybody is denying that fact. I am not saying that america is the greatest country in the world. However, laws such as the equal pay act, equal housing act and such have made it Illegal to discriminate on race, color, sex, religion ect.

Obviously you didn't bother reading any of the links I provided. They clearly explain the discrimination that took place in the past, and the discrimination that is still taking place today, regardless of the laws.

If you aren't going to bother learning what's actually happening, you're going to keep on living in a fantasy world. I guess that makes you happy because in your post you still blame minorities for the discrimination they suffer.

I do not blame minorities. I do not gernally talk about large groups of people, but the individual. if they truly suffer discrimination and can prove it, bring them before the court of law. It is illegal to discriminate, period.

Today, everything is discrimination and everything is either racist or sexist. It is racist to ask somebody where they were born, or to say all lives matter. It is sexist to hold the door for a woman. This is not true discrimination.

Well everyone who was mistreated, Native Americans , Jews and what have have received reperations and an apology...blacks were mistreated far longer...there was no reason why my ancestors shouldn't have had reparation the only reason stems from simple hatred... Do I feel I need reparations no not really...( bc I was born in a better time period and treated with dignity )but you cant deny the fact it was wrong. They had 400 years to apologize, and give the reparations...the did for the Japanese in internment camps...so why does one group get an apology and reparations and another group doesn't?

I never said those who weren't apart of slavery are owed anything, the only thing I said was that they had 400+ years to pay them back for the sorrow they caused and to not do that but repay other groups is flat out wrong.

And I've heard of feminism, I dont really agree with it, I dont think the weight of the world should be on men's shoulders ..nor should women be blamed for everything...things that divisive like femenism or what have you I dont really like...we all need help. Not to be turned against one another.

I served 22.5 years in a city 40 + % black.
I can't recall a white on black incident.
Most all the violent crime was in the black neighborhoods,
black on black.
The social maturity must come from within.

It is too obviously existent for one side, and painfully unseen on another. The only group willing to out up with another 80 years of constant explaining while ignorance abounds are the very young, middle of road folks who may see the injustice, but not enough to definitively subscribe to a side.

It is worthless in America; other places have gotten it together. America is just a baby of a country. The nation's that have existed for thousands of years, and fought scores of wars for many different reasons KNOW to out hate, ignirance, bigotry and prejudice aside long enough to at least make some united progress.

Not America.

These threads keep getting shUT down because it is even more of a slap in the face than anonymous cowards on twitter. Here, you would think a Christianforum would be much more empathetic to social paradigms like systemic racism.

That is what really gets people upset... the same people telling me I am going to he'll are also the same people who think my community's lack of progress is because there is no core teaching, or home training. How obscenely insulting.

The people here know how to evade the rules to say what they need to say without alerting MODS, and when people call them out on it, THAT is when threads gets closed - the exchange between the exposed and exposed.

I honestly don't think white Americans, which make up 71% of the US population, actually care. It is literally a minority problem.

But if you do: one generation. One time. (Even if i was an opponent, I would be one of the first to "swap my privileges"if I believed the things I said about minorities being on decent or equal par.)

The problem is well reflected in this forum thread. The only real answer is for us to stop seeing race. That is the only answer. You have to teach your kids that people are people, not categories of people. You have to teach your kids about the past and the mistakes people made that were wrong and not to repeat those mistakes. That is the only way we change, through our kids. And don't be shamed into thinking racism is only an American problem. Racism is everywhere and its a human problem.

Its evident there's tension and anger..I can even see it cross over into the forums.

I think one obvious step is to of course hear each other out and make an effort to understand each person's point of view. However, the problem with that is that things can get heated really quickly and just deter from the intended goal.

Equality is what everyone is obviously crying from their soul, from whites concerning proper news coverage when it comes to black on white crimes..or just crimes period... To blacks with simple justice concerning white on black crimes ( these are just *some* of the things I heard) ...

However to do this it would require an unbiased mind...still a start would be nice.

stop stirring the pot of hatred... stop purporting the victim role, and stop looking for people to point fingers at....
In other words, stand up and be responsible citizens... and celebrate those who set a proper example.... e.g., the people of Charleston, SC., Dr. Ben Carson.... who can think of others? I'm sure there must be many.

I've got a thing or two to say about prejudice....
to those who think that Germans didn't face prejudice, that the Irish didn't face prejudice, the Italians, the asians, the Puerto Ricans, the Cubans...
Everyone faces prejudice of one kind or another...
These people overcame the prejudices against them by showing their worth, showing their value, showing their work ethics.
It is up to each to establish their own worth. Look at people like Ben Carson, Martin Luther King, Jr.
I believe the United States does not have a black/white problem.
I believe what has fomented all the unrest is the black muslim movement in the United States, hiding behind the falsehood of a color or race issue.
The black muslim movement that said it was ok to have many 'wives', and children by many women, that it was ok to do mutah and not have a real marriage.
I believe it was this movement (propagated by Malcolm X) that has brought so many ails to the nation. Dividing Christians and muslims, blacks and whites. Starting a firestorm of hatred towards 'Christian whites'.
This is devil's work.
