It is important to have HOPE:
(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 13:13)
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
Yes, hope=------ when it is applied rightly.
This is right out of your Articles of Faith from LDS.org
13 We believe in being honest , true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtous, lovely , or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
Joseph Smith.
This is Paul's statement [not admonition] that JS was referencing--just a few verses back:
1 Corinthians 13:7
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
He also referenced Phil. 4:8 in the last part of this Article if Faith and of course butchered it as well.
Now you might desire to stay in you false church where you are told to only HOPE to endure---I will go with the True Christ where there is His guarantee that I will endure all things.
I have had 25 years of Mormons like you trying to convince me to come back to the Mormon Church--so I know that enduring all things applies to me. You only get stronger in your true Faith and there is no hope about enduring.
By your own Articles of Faith---you are in a false Religion,
