Tell her that if she can find it in Scripture, she can have it.My wife interprets "obedience" as to her, is she wrong?![]()
I'm no Greek scholar so I can't begin to explain why the KJV is using that word, but since most other translations do not use the word "again", I'm gonna go with the majority on this one and assume it shouldn't be there.
So that should mean restoring the kingdom of God to Israel as was initially the case in the past. The question is, in what sense were the disciples meaning Israel?
Too funnyIt is not what is found below.
.
people who have issues with Zion have issues with God doing what He say he will do
There is only one Zion, sorry to hear that you are so confused but if you study ALL of the Word of God and not just what suits you; you will begin to understand , the vine was cut off but the root still remainsWhich Zion?
Some of us cannot tell the difference between the Baal worshipers and the faithful remnant, found in Romans 11:5.

15 I will plant them upon their land,
and they will never again be plucked up
out of the land that I have given them,
says the Lord your God.
Heb 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
God say he will - the future not the past
What ya think Never again meansit means Never again

If you think that Old Testament passage is referring to this rotten, sin-cursed world, then either you are wrong or Peter and the writer of the Book of Hebrews are wrong.
2 Peter 3:10-13
Hebrews 11:15-16

Never as in not ever as in not again

"Never" means never, right? So "they" will live in the land forever. Correct?
Doesn't that require an everlasting land? Do you think the land on this old earth is everlasting? Or is the land on the new earth everlasting?
Exactly , While it isn't clear whether this old earth will be 'destroyed ' like in Noah's flood - cleansed with fire - or if a new planet is created; a Jerusalem will be on this old earth and either renewed here or be new on a new planet . I remember someone teaching that the new Jerusalem would come down out of heaven and stay up in the sky and we just go up and down from it , but it be hard to say if that be what happens , we'll just have to wait to see what come s to pass - whatever it is it will be glorious for sureIt requires everlasting land, otherwise God is an outright liar. Common sense says this can't be entirely fulfilled on this old earth though. Therefore it finds it's entire fulfillment in the new heavens and new earth.
Doesn't mean it can't begin being fulfilled on this old earth. But since there will eventually be a new earth, and that the new earth will continue forever without passing away like this current one does, the last question you asked, that is the answer.
My point exactly. It requires everlasting land, otherwise God is an outright liar. Common sense says this can't be entirely fulfilled on this old earth though. Therefore it finds it's entire fulfillment in the new heavens and new earth.
