looking for a riddle about time

I can't remember how it went though. Something about how we are given a certain something and are told that it will not transfer over and we had to use it all up that day. It may have had to do with a deposit of some kind.

Does anyone know how this riddle or saying went? Thanks in advance.

That was pretty easy.
