The Sabbath is one of ten commandments...
It should be followed. Now, as for the say of the sabbath that deserves at least four more threads.
Firstly, Gentile literally translates to a Greek.
Secondly, what were those God-given set of laws separate from the Word of God?
Follow up: Since I don't know if I am an Hebrew or Gentile, if I am a gentile can I murder people? Can I covet? Can I use God's name in vain? Why or why not, since they fall in the same ten commandments?
You have to be cousins of, or the person that continues to ask people this when they are challenged with obvious hypocrisy.
Are you being a devil's advocate here or are you coming out as an SDA? If neither then what? Here you appear to take the absurd position of the SDA.Firstly, Gentile literally translates to a Greek. So, it really has no point in distinguishing people of God from "pagans, or Gentiles." Secondly, what were those God-given set of laws separate from the Word of God? The commandments were not Moses' law, it was God's law.

Who might that be?You have to be cousins of, or the person that continues to ask people this when they are challenged with obvious hypocrisy.
Even without the Noahide Commandments SDAs will NOT acknowledge that if someone is commanded to love their neighbor and love God that they will NOT be running murdering and stealing. The 10 commandments is a pathetic standard of sinlessness compared to loving your neighbor where you can't even think sin without sinning far worse than you think where hate = murder and lust = adultery. I can think evil and decadent thoughts all day long when I use the 10 commandments as my standard and be fine but a filthy mind to a new testament believing Christian is constantly fighting sin no "keeping" it from happening by external works. So are you saying you know better than the Christian bishops that decided the rules that covered all Christians? Are you accusing the Council, called by orthodox Christians, committed an "obvious hypocrisy" when they reduced to writing the Christian position on the Sabbath?
And you obviously have came onto this site with the intention of repeating Ellen White's grotesque and bald-faced lie: She KNEW of the existence of the Noahide Commandments that long predated the Ten Commandments. She made a deliberate decision to withhold the existence of those laws. And then, she uttered the ugly, dishonest smear that Christianity insists the Ten Commandments were nailed to the Cross so that they can murder steal and lie.
What an appalling false prophet that evil woman was!
Again, you have been given Canon 29 from the Council at Laodicea, that defines orthodox Christianity's position on the Sabbath. Do you reject the orthodox Christian position on the Sabbath?

Why should the 7th day Sabbath be followed? The Sabbath is one of ten commandments...
It should be followed. Now, as for the say of the sabbath that deserves at least four more threads.
Suggesting that it is now okay to steal and kill is still against God.
EXACTLY!!!What pathetic and dishonest filth Adventists spew!! Accusing Christians of murder, rape, theft and dishonesty.....because they accept Paul's command in Colossians 2:13-18 that the Ten Commandments, and all of the rest of the Mosaic Law were nailed to the Cross!!! And where 9 of the 10 commandments are reaffirmed by Paul and Jesus THREE times in the New Testament.
So their obvious lie is this: When they say "The Ten Commandments" all they really mean is "Sabbath."
What truth are you talking about being rejected? Why is truth rejected. Why are statement made that are not factual? There are historical facts to show clearly that the Sabbath was observed up to the fourth century even the Catholic church admits to that. I have read such in Catholic literature already so at least you don't fool me, and I hope others will look for themselves. Here is one encyclopedia.
http://www.encyclopedia.com/topic/Sabbath.aspx.
Since Christianity emerged as an interpretation of Judaism with Jesus accepted as messiah, many early Christians (the name first appeared at Antioch, according to Acts 11. 26) observed the Sabbath and attended synagogue. The transfer of rest from the Sabbath to Sunday began from about the 4th cent., but the reason given was to enable people to worship God, rather than to revive the abstention from work in imitation of the sabbath rest. The phrase the Christian sabbath dates from about the 12th cent. The early Reformers (e.g. Luther, Calvin, Cranmer, Knox), insisted on the day of rest, though not in imitation of the Sabbath. The Evangelical Revival reinforced strict sabbath observance in 19th cent. Britain (the Lord's Day Observance Society was founded in 1831), but the influence of Sabbatarian movements on the Continent was more limited. The erosion of sabbath observance is now extensive. Seventh-Day Adventists believe that the churches have been in error in abandoning the observance of the Sabbath on the original day and have reverted to that practice.
I came to a discussion forum with the intent of encouraging the unity of the one faith entrusted to us. Distinctives and unBiblical beliefs tend to fall to the wayside once exposed to the light of the Gospel. Over the course of time Elder111 has remained committed to error and has rejected plain Scripture over and over again - which isn't the designed intent of a discussion forum's existence. I hope that your self-proclaimed prophecy fails for you, but it is the Living God Who draws all men to Himself as He wills, and what happens to you isn't for us to say.I hope that you who have been observing have seen how truth, plain scripture has been reject over and over again.
It will get worse.
Bottom line exactly what does that mean to you?James 2:
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
No duh - now, what was the Ten Commandments? Once you can answer this accurately, your following statement becomes ludicrous. The Sabbath is one of ten commandments...
No one here follows the shadow of God's rest, nor should they as God's redeemed children. It should be followed. Now, as for the say of the sabbath that deserves at least four more threads.
While I hope that others will notice how much of the Bible is actually rejected by those who promote obligation to the law for the Christian. Even the very Ten Commandments which God wrote with His very own finger are rejected.I hope that you who have been observing have seen how truth, plain scripture has been reject over and over again.
It will get worse.
Allow me to translate Elder111's post for you: Christianity is filled with Christians, whom Elder111 has nothing but contempt for, and he has no intention of defending his departure from the one faith we've been given. Nor is he going to engage in discussion. If there's nothing to discuss, all he can do is write sly notes of condemnation.Bottom line exactly what does that mean to you?
