  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Learning Web Site Design.

If anyone is interested in learning to design websites here are a few sites I highly recommend:
http://www.htmlgoodies.com/ - Tutorials on just about everything web related.
http://www.asp.net/ - Learn the new ASP.NET technology and download their free page development program called Web Matrix.
http://www.hotscripts.com/ - Get tons of free scripts from this site written in all sorts of languages (CGI, ASP, ASP.NET, PERL, Java, JavaScript, CFML).
Anyways, be happy to help anyone who is looking to get involved.
Respectfully,
David.

If you want to learn, then I suggest http://www.w3schools.com/ - They are the ones that made the web coding standards. You can validate your html or xhtml or css there too.

Yes, by all means stick to the standards. Write valid XHTML 1.0 with CSS, like I do on my own website, and your pages will be both backwards compatible and future proof. Validate with the W3C Validator all the time.

What is the main dif between xhtml and html? I looked a little at xhtml, butr all I really noticed was that xhtml was more structured, and the table tags were diffrent.
