Kursk-Root Icon to visit Oz & NZ again!

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God “of the Sign” will be visiting the Australian and New Zealand Diocese from February to April 2015.

During this time, the icon will visit all the parishes and monasteries of the Diocese.

If one had the opportunity to venerate the Kursk Root Icon, would they venerate her hand? Just the edge of the icon? Do people do full prostrations (if not on Sunday)?

Edit: perhaps just the corner, I'd feel impious trying to venerate her hand.

venerate where you feel comfortable, just try to avoid the faces.

I have seen bowing, but not full prostrations when I have seen that icon.
