Post your self improvement goals here and we shall struggle together!

Mine:

-workout at least 3 times a week.

-30 minutes of bible time minimum each day.

-packed lunches/healthy options for lunch, no eating out/fast food (unless it's healthy)

-no second helpings at dinner (this is my greatest weakness, lol)

-using my fifteen minute breaks at work to walk.

-no doordashing high-sugar coffees. Bring my own coffee. (Was my greatest weakness, but since getting a coffee maker at work, I've had a better time of it.)

-healthy snacks when I'm hungry. I'm actually pretty good at this part, but I'll make it a goal to just be extra aware.

-no soda/pop or high-sugar drinks.

-carve out time to practice drawing, or to write, or some form of creativity.

That's quite a to-do list. What's yours?

Mine are .... stop being selfish, meeting more people and going out more.

I spent the last 4 years working hard and success was my number 1 priority but I'm tired of the "strong independent life"

Okayyy ... they deleted my usual pink colour so I had to get the colour code online, anyways :x

For once, I'm actually WELL on track and following the roadmap nicely. You always know when I'm making real progress, because I'm quiet.

2022 - on the face of it, has been an average year. But the consistent groundwork from January, right through to December, has teed me up for an epic 2023. I'm going to be meeting (and painting with) some of the best artists' in the country all through 2023 - people with knighthoods, global reputations and awards (so I must mind my language.)

Painting was something I started in the very early days of the pandemic to "help pass the time" while I sat in my bedroom - little knowing that in only a couple of years time, I'd be here, about to tour London with the best. Just goes to show that I can't be an amateur at anything, I'm forever aiming high.

However, it's not all hyper-productivity. 2023 marks TEN YEARS since I began writing fiction, with nothing going further than my own eyes. So while things are booming in one area, they're faltering badly in others. I have manuscripts typed up, ready to go. With agencies at hand. So perhaps the success in one area, helps gather momentum in others...(?) Because if not this year, then I have to wonder if it was EVER "for me". Nothing has prevented me from becoming a painter. Literally nothing. So why should I stall as a writer? Unless I'm just not one.

And it's also time to go back to Japan - or indeed anywhere in the far east, to enjoy more from my favourite part of the world. This is the ultimate year for "doing whatever makes me happy" - I may even gather up a small amount of kit and paint while I'm over there.

I'm not going to set lots of fiddly little goals, I'm just going to confidently attack the big stuff, while gaining self-awareness and confidence along the way.

That is really cool!

Hopefully, I can do all of this while remaining open-minded about romance. (Perhaps a little goal on the side.)

I read back through some of my old posts sometimes, and I can't help but think that this stalwart, fierce independence was a mistake. Sure, I always enjoyed myself, but... To be so narrow-minded? Defintely an error on my part.

"I'm better off single" - well, how did I know that? I haven't been in a relationship since 2012. What do you know about love when you're only 22?

Just a thought.

That is probably a wise observation. That being said, your posts always used to make me laugh when I was more active on here years ago. I particularly remember one in which you derailed the crush thread :)

Goals that I've thought of:
- Weight loss
- Finding an alternative solution for treating fibroids

I have done a few things so far for both goals.

I bought a different kind of yogurt to try. I had seen a video on Odysee stating that soy is one of the foods that can make fibroids worse. I had been eating a soy yogurt, so I have decided to ditch it and try a yogurt that has high protein and low sugar.

LORD Willing Shall we Live,
I'd Like to Get Closer to the LORD in all aspects and maybe even overcome the Old man in me as the urge to cut loose with my tongue has been growing lately and it's a real struggle not to be overwhelmed by the old man and his sinful habits.
LORD Willing, the troll in me will perish forever

^ I've been to the States four, maybe five times. But NEVER have I been to a Walmart. I tend to go to Whole Foods Market.

Matters not, for I despise all supermarkets equally, regardless of brand or country of origin. It seems to be the international language of supermarket shopping: "buy one, leave ReesePiece ONLY one, so that he can not partake in the buy one get one free promotion."

Something to do with the phytoestrogens? Soy is known for it.

That Icelandic style stuff is insanely high in protein. I only wish it was more prevalent during my powerlifting days, I'd have been stocking up on it by the case.

You need a list to remind you to bring coffee ? That is a necessity of life :)
Lol! What I was in the habit of doing was getting expensive/high sugar-filled lattes on my way to work or getting to work, and then ordering very expensive/sugar filled Doordash lattes for myself and the office.

Bringing coffee or a travel mug and then making coffee at work has helped me break that habit. And when I make coffee-- it's really good, and I only need just a splash of half and half, I don't even sweeten it xD

Try YouTube. I watched some beginner tutorials for crochet and I found it really helpful. You can actually see how the stitches/ chains should look as you crochet. Plus, you can stop the video and rewind it as much as you need to.

Last two days, keto friendly yogurt and some sliced turkey and cheese for lunches, small portions at dinner, avoiding soda (did have a caramel latte today, but it wasn't my fault, the doctor door dashed coffee for the office, so I couldn't say no xD ), and two 40 minute workouts in the books. OK. I'm ready to be skinny now! XD
